In the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal, magic and fantasy are all around you (expelliarmus!), but not far from there at the Amway center a different kind of fantasy Magic is taking place, and they play a lot uglier brand of basketball. Still there is fantasy goodness to be had here and Friday night Tobias Harris scored a career high 27 points with 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 3pm and 1 steal.  Yes, Tobias blue himself (up) last night, it was his fourth straight game in double digits and he’s criminally just 23% owned. After coming off a 23 point, 6 rebound performance Wednesday Harris is a must own, JB told you to buy him, so drop everything and go grab Tobias, you blowhard! Speaking of buys, Moe Harkless had 13 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and hit 3 threes in 29 minutes last night and should see consistent minutes at the wing going forward. He was my pickup of the week last week and is still under 20% owned. Still not satisfied? Because wait there’s more–E’Twaun Moore, who had 9 points, 3 rebounds, 11 assists, 1 3pm, 1 steal and 1 block in 33 minutes. It’s still unclear who the better play at point for the Magic will be, E’Twaun got the start, but Beno Udrih had just as many minutes (33) and had 4 points (2-7 fg) and 8 assists. We’re going to see some inconsistency from these two at the point guard position for the rest of the season, but both are worth a look if you need assists. Not that you’d be interested in any non-Orlando related fantasy news, but other teams played last night so let’s get to it! Here’s what else happened in fantasy basketball Friday night: Brad Beal – 29 pts, 11 reb, 2 ast, 4 3pm. B-Rad is averaging 19.8 pts, 6.6 reb, 2.4 ast and almost 2 threes a game over the past two weeks. You are no longer Bradley, young one. You will henceforth be known as “Brad.” Unless you prefer Bradley or something, in that case whatever you want, man, it’s cool. Trevor Ariza – 15 pts, 6 reb, 5 ast, 2 3pm, 2 stl. Trevor is averaging 16 pts, 4 reb and 3 asts over the past week and is a hot little potato right. He won’t overwhelm in any category, but he’s got the the skills to fill up a box score so he’s worth a look if you need a bit of everything. Chris Paul – 11 pts, 3 reb, 15 ast. And he couldn’t have done it without his super best friend Blake Griffin who added 16 pts, 11 reb, 3 ast, 3 blk and a sweet high five to Paul’s win. Paul George – 22 pts, 10 reb, 3 ast, 4 3pm. After the game Danny Granger was quoted as sighing, “I remember when I used to do that.” Sigh, I do, too, Danny G. I do too. James Harden – 24 pts, 7 reb, 8 ast, 3 stl, 1 blk, 10-11 ftm. What a line. Sure, he missed all five of his three point attempts, but I ain’t even mad at you. Carlos Delfino – 21 pts, 3 reb, 5 3pm. Carlos of the Fino is as hot as they come right now. If you’re looking for threes look no further. Fantasy pro tip* Carlos can shoot threes. Stephen Curry – 25 pts, 6 ast, 3-11 3pm. So much for the record of consecutive 50-point games. If Curry had only hit 7 more of his 3 point attempts (like he did Wednesday) he would have came pretty close to matching that mark. Don’t stress it, Steph, Sometimes the shots don’t fall. Klay Thompson – 15 pts, 9 reb, 4 ast, 1-7 3pm. The three ball just wasn’t falling for the Warriors at the Garden Friday night. Maybe it was the luck of the Irish? Harrison Barnes – 16 pts, 6 reb, 3 stl in 39 minutes. Barnes has seen some serious hot and cold spells throughout his rookie year, but perhaps this is the start of another hot spell. He’s seeing plenty of minutes, so he could be worth a look if you’re desperate for a wing. Jeff Green – 18 pts, 5 reb, 2 ast, 3 blk. Last week I told you to run out and buy Jeff Green. He goes on to put out pedestrian efforts of 11 pts, 6 reb and worse 6 pts, 1 reb. Not my proudest day, but I stand by my Jeff Green love, even if he won’t be starting any time soon. I can’t help myself, dude can jam. I am a sucker for slams. I am addicted to dunks. If he’s still out there on the waiver wire snatch him up quick. Dirk Nowitzki – 20 pts, 8 reb, 2 ast, 1 stl, 1 blk. That’s how you do the Dirkish twist. Dirk is starting to look like the player I drafted 5 rounds too early, instead of a player I drafted 10 rounds too early. #progress Greivis Vasquez – 25 pts, 4 reb, 9 ast, 2 stl 2 3pm. In the battle of possibly the two worst teams in the league, the NOLA Hornets come out on top. Detroit wins wins though, the Pistons are officially unofficially the worst team in the league. Ryan Anderson – 19 pts, 13 reb, 2 3pm. Anders started for Anthony Davis for the second day in a row, and rumblings are he hasn’t shaved his forehead in weeks either. #rumors Danny Green – 15 pts, 3 3pm, 3 reb, 2 ast, 2 stl, 2 blk. Still available in over a quarter of leagues, Green was a big part of San Antonio embarrassing the poor Sacto Kings Friday night. Besides his long range skills, Green has proven he can contribute across all categories. I wonder where he learned that from? *cough* Tim Duncan? *cough* Manu Ginobili – 9 pts, 15 ast. Almost missed Ginobili’s 15 asts as I was combing through the box scores. That’s nice. That’s why you the manu. Enes Kanter – 23 pts, 22 reb, 1 blk. Don’t tell him he Kanter, because he can, and he will. Oh, hello there Mr. 23/22! Nice to meet you, hope we meet again. Enes got the start with both Al Jefferson and Paul Millsap sidelined and played 44 minutes. The ideal conditions for a monster game and Kanter took advantage. Unfortunately, the Jazz front court is pretty crowded as is, and Jefferson is not expected to miss much time. He’s definitely one to watch as Enes has got the upside to make some real noise if he gets the minutes. Gordon Hayward – 14 pts, 4 reb, 4 ast. Air Gordon was on Friday night. Dan A told you to buy him, so make an offer. You got nothing to lose! Devin Harris –  12 pts, 6 ast in 27 minutes. Yawn. The other Harris, not named Tobias and not tearing up the league, is still averaging 12 pts and almost 3 asts a game over the past 2 weeks. Not the sexiest pick up, but not the ugliest either. That would probably be this guy. Al Horford – 20 pts, 7 reb, 4 ast, 3 stl, 2 blk, 2 3pm. Despite the stellar game from Alby, the Hawks fell the the lowly Suns in this one with Phoenix’s bench scoring 58 points lead by the wonder twins. Lebron James – 18 pts, 8 reb, 10 ast, 2 stl, 1 blk. Only 18? For real, Bron? what are you trying to do to me here? Well, he did do this pregame, so we’ll let it slide. That was sick, huh? Despite the King shooting an ugly 4-14 from the field the Heat were able to pull out their 13th win in a row. I blame this video. I also love almost everything about it. Wilson Chandler – 35 pts, 3 reb, 6 3pm in 37 minutes off the bench. The 35 points were a career high for Wilson, Tom Hanks was spotted yelling his name court side, and the Chand-man even hit a sweet go-ahead shot with seconds left in regulation. Big game for Wilson, but an even bigger win for the Nuggles taking down OKC. Andre Miller - 14 pts, 7 ast, 6 reb. Dre has been playing nice lately, too. He’s averaging 11 pts, 6 asts, and 3.3 rebounds over the past 15 days. He’s available in about half of Yahoo leagues and is not a bad add right now. Nowadays everybody wanna talk, like they need assists, talking lots of gibberish, and fantasy-ers act like they forgot about Dre. Kosta Koufos – 8 pts, 13 reb, 3 blk. He like-a the juice, eh? Helios! Get some juice for da man! Kosta had the juice flowing last night, and is averaging 8.3 pts, 6.8 reb and 1.3 blocks over the past two weeks. Kappa Kappa is available in about 80% of Yahoo leagues, but could provide solid value if your in need of a big man, especially at the center. Marcus Morris – 16 pts, 5 reb, 2 stl, 4 3pm. The 4 three’s was a career mark for Marcus, so of course his twin bro, Markieff Morris, had a nice game (11 pts, 6 reb) as well. Just bros, playing pro basketball together, no big whoop. No, I can’t recommend picking up either one of them, but twin brothers playing ball together? That just makes me smile. That, my friends, is real basketball.Excuse me I have to go cry–and call my brother. Join us next Saturday for another Friday recap, as fantasy basketball continues next week, all week long!
