As in the words of The Rock, “finally the Mavericks have come back to Dallas!”, and they won. Dallas faced one of the lowest winning teams in the NBA tonight and came out with a victory, barely.
Why do I say barely? Well, there was a point in time during the game, that Dallas actually let the Wizards have the lead and gave them the hope of a win that I’m sure was not in the planning before the game.
The Mavericks had just came home from a 3 game road trip that ended in disaster, as they lost all three games and to at least 2 teams that they should have beaten, and really should have beaten all three teams, but Phoenix, Sacramento and Golden State pulled the rug out from underneath the Mavericks and got wins in all three cities and have now put the Mavs in a must win spot as they are clinging to the #7 seed in the Western Conference, but they can move up the ladder again if they play their cards right.
The first way is to beat the teams they are supposed to beat now and that started ...

Mavericks center Brendan Haywood is back in the starting lineup against Washington.
He had missed four games since spraining his left ankle in the opening minute of the Mavericks' game March 5 at Oklahoma City.
Haywood wasn't the only big man the Mavericks got back Tuesday. Center Brandan Wright was active after missing six games with concussion-like symptoms.
DALLAS (AP) -- Dirk Nowtizki scored 27 points, Jason Terry had 24 and the Dallas Mavericks got a much-needed victory, beating the Washington Wizards 107-98 on Tuesday night.
The defending NBA champions had lost eight of their previous 10 games. That included three road losses in three nights before a welcome two-day break leading into consecutive home games against the league'...
A play-by-play for this sequence from Monday night: The Wizards are on a fast break. JaVale McGee runs up the middle of the court. JaVale McGee doesn’t know where the ball is, gets hit in the face on a pass intended for him, turns ball over. JaVale McGee sulks and doesn’t bother getting back on defense. The Wizards force another turnover. JaVale McGee, still on the other end...
DALLAS (AP) -- Dirk Nowitzki scored 27 points and the Dallas Mavericks rallied from 14 points down in the second quarter to beat the Charlotte Bobcats 101-96 on Thursday night.
Dallas won its second straight -- improving to 15-0 all-time against the Bobcats -- although the victories have come against lottery-bound Washington and Charlotte.
Jason Terry added 18 points and Rodrigue...
TRADE-SANITY!!! I had a little birdie tell me Wednesday night, Nene was going to be traded, but I never thought it would be to the Washington Wizards. Furthermore, it was in exchange for JaVale McGee, Ronnie Turiaf to Denver and it sent Nick Young to the Clippers. While, I was taken aback at first, this [...]

WAIT, WHAT?? Apparently JaVale thinks he is the bee’s knees, but this really did happen: In addition to his on-court struggles, it appears that Wizards center JaVale McGee is a bit delusional. Sources say he has informed the Wizards that he will be looking for a contract averaging around $14 million when he becomes a [...]
There’s no way around it.
The last ten games, which have seen the Mavs go 2-8, have been absolutely abysmal. The Mavs’ execution, effort, and basic desire to play quality basketball weren’t at the level needed in order to compete for a championship. Whether it was due to injuries or contract uncertainty beyond this year, the Mavericks have simply lost too many games against...
The Washington Wizards, Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Clippers have completed a three-team trade. The Wizards will acquire Nene, the Nuggets will acquire JaVale McGee and the Clippers will acquire Nick Young in a swap I never saw coming.
It’s apparent that the Nuggets haven’t been happy with Nene’s production after giving him the big deal during the off-season. JaVale McGee...
Javale McGee informed the Wizards that he will be seeking a contract this offseason that pays him an annual average of approximately $14 million.
DENVER (AP) - A person with knowledge of the trade says the Nuggets are sending Nene to the Wizards in a three-team deal, with Washington sending JaVale McGee and Ronny Turiaf to Denver and Nick Young to the Los Angeles Clippers.
The person told The Associated Press on Thursday that Washington also picked up forward Brian Cook. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because...
