Jared Sullinger hasn't gotten much respect from the refs and in fact, he has been a foul magnet. Seems like sometimes the poor kid gets fouls for looking at someone. But against the Nets, Jared was given the benefit of the doubt. That's because he was matched up with a serial flopper.
Reggie Evans is such a known flopper that he was featured in the video that the NBA sent to the media explaining the new flopping rules. He's back at it again this season but this time, to their credit, the refs didn't fall for it.
Evans and Sully got tangled up underneath the basket going for a rebound. Evans then flailed his arms and fell on his back. The refs whistled a foul but surprisingly, the foul wasn't on Sully. I'm pretty hard on the refs when they screw up, but this time they got it right. The foul was called on Evans as he lay there flopping like a fish. Good job by the refs in the game. Now, if the league doesn't issue him a warning for this flop, the new rules have no credibility.

Brook Lopez was on The Boomer and Carton show on Friday and the co-hosts asked him to do something that he’s probably never done while giving an interview. The Nets center was asked by the hosts to re-enact a famous scene from the 1991 film “Silence of the Lambs.” Lopez was asked to play the role of the creepy Buffalo Bill. With that deep voice, if a remake is ever...
Brooklyn Net's sophomore guard MarShon Brooks will take the court tonight after spraining his ankle during last Friday's morning shoot-around. The Nets play the Boston Celtics on TNT.Coach Avery says @marshon2 will play tonight, though we can expect a similar rotation due to the success of the #BKNbenchmob #injuryupdate— Brooklyn Nets (@BrooklynNets) November 15, 2012Brooks...
I guess Joe Johnson is enjoying playing up north. The Nets beat the Celtics 102-97 but Joe Johnson’s so-so shooting continues. The guard ended the night with 19 points on 6 of 19 shooting but Brooklyn got the W so that’s what’s important right? Check Joe’s pregame steeze; charcoal gray suit, black scarf and [...]
I had posted before that Reggie Evans needed to be warned for his flop from the Celtics game vs the Brooklyn Nets the other night. It was so obvious that the refs didn't even fall for it. Word came out from the NBA that he has been warned for it. Kind of restores a little faith in the officiating. Maybe.
Kevin Martin has also been warned for a flop from the Thunder'...

HE HELD HIM UP THOUGH
The screencaps on this Keith Bogans foul look worse than the GIF. Look, if Bogans snaps Leandro Barbosa’s neck, then we might be talking flagrant. He’s only holding Leandro’s neck to prevent him from crashing to the floor. That’s just tough Brooklyn Nets playoff basketball right there – in November. Joe Johnson made the tiebreaking basket with 3:03 left, Deron Williams and Brook Lopez each scored 24 points, and the Brooklyn Nets beat the Boston Celtics 102-97 on Thursday night for their fourth straight victory.
Williams had eight assists and made all nine free throws on a night Paul Pierce had two huge misses in the final minute for the Celtics, who played without injured point...
This one started off as we all thought it would-C’s looked tired & sloppy and were out-hustled by the Nets. After 1Q, Brooklyn was up 31-26 and the C’s had given-up 50% FG and already committed 6 turnovers.
Things then started to turn around a bit in the 2nd. Behind some fantastic play from Bass and Barbosa, who had 10 pts in the quarter, the C’s pulled to within 3...
Two things are certain from the comments. Nets fans hate Courtney Lee. They don't like having more Celtics fans at their games than Nets fans. And, they couldn't deny the fact that they caught several breaks from the refs. They also realize that they lucked out with Rondo's absence. Enjoy today's Comments...

Team Twine received their first credentials for the Springfield Armor’s Media Day. The Armor are the D-League affiliate to the Brooklyn Nets, and have quite the roster of NBA talent. Here’s a look inside our day yesterday at the Basketball Hall of Fame.
A huge thanks to Eli Pearlstein and the Springfield Armor for letting us cover media day.
NEW YORK -- They felt the crowd surging with them down the stretch, the Brooklyn Nets no longer a team in limbo, but one that could confidently claim a home-court advantage. And they did, along with a big win over the Boston Celtics, 102-97 before a sellout crowd of 17,732 at the Barclays Center on Thursday night. In the past couple of years, as they waited to move to their permanent...
