It’s no secret that former Louisville guard Chris Smith is very close with his older brother, NBA star J.R. Smith. J.R. reportedly paid for Chris’ tuition during his two years at Louisville while he was a walk-on. J.R., the 2013 NBA 6th Man of the Year, has done everything possible to help his younger brother land a full-time gig in the NBA. After graduating from Louisville, Chris signed a free agent contract with the New York Knicks, just a couple of weeks after J.R. had signed a new contract with New York. It’s been reported that J.R. took less money to stay with the Knicks so his brother would be given an opportunity to make the team. There is no denying the loyalty between the two brothers from New Jersey. Chris took the loyalty to a new level over the weekend when he got a picture of J.R.’s face tattooed on his back. Beneath the portrait of J.R.’s face, it reads “Always Got My Back.” Damn, Chris. That is some serious brotherly love and family loyalty.
