Former NBA player Marcus Williams has reportedly been suspended by the Chinese Basketball Association after testing positive for marijuana. League officials are calling it the first doping case they have had since the CBA was founded in 1995.Williams, who plays for the Shanxi Zhongyu Brave Dragons, was banned for six months on Monday after a positive test result stemming from Dec. 9.The 26-year old has been in China since 2010 after serving brief stints in the NBA with the San Antonio Spurs (2007, 2009) and the Los Angeles Clippers (2008).Williams was drafted by the Spurs in the second round (33rd overall) of the 2007 Draft. He was an All-Pac-10 First Team performer at the University of Arizona.Williams apologized to fans through a Chinese news agency, and vowed to "improve and grow from this."Via AP.
