Baron Davis has had an impressive career since being selected third overall in the 1999 NBA Draft. Since then he’s played for the Charlotte/New Orleans Hornets, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers, Cleveland Cavaliers and New York Knicks. Most people believed his career came to an end last season when he ripped his ACL and MCL. However, now Davis is planning a comeback and refusing to say his NBA career is over. Baron Davis has been a two time NBA All-Star, a two time NBA steals leader, named to the All-NBA Third Team and won the 2004 NBA Skills Challenge. No one should laugh at his career accomplishments. However, to make a comeback from a torn ACL and MCL at his age is a lofty goal. To return from those injuries the very next season is nearly impossible. Just don’t tell Davis that. Eric Pincus of Hoopsworld reports Davis is planning a comeback during the 2012-13 season. “I’m feeling good, getting there,” Davis said on Sunday. “A lot of rehab. A lot of rehab. My summer is...

Baron Davis hopes to return this season

You cannot help but cringe when watching Baron Davis’ knee injury from last season’s playoffs (Disclaimer: not for the squeamish). The 33-year old tore his ACL and MCL while driving to the basket in a playoff game against the Miami Heat. The recovery time for this type of injury is supposed to be a full year, but Davis thinks he can make it back sooner than that. “I’m...

Carmelo Anthony stars in new Foot Locker ad (Video)

New York Knicks star (and USA gold medalist) Carmelo Anthony stars in a new Foot Locker commercial promoting Jordan-brand T-shirts and shoes. The idea behind it is that Anthony had to hire some extra "Melo's" so that he could wear all his new Approved Foot Locker gear at the same time. It seems that Carmelo tried to find guys that looked like him, but he stretched...

Tyson Chandler: Heart & Soul of the New York Knicks

The day that Tyson Chandler was signed and traded to the NY Knicks  changed my view of the front office and Grunwald in particular. This was a major outside the box move, if there was ever one. Losing Chauncey was a blow, but in my opinion he was vastly over rated at this point in his career. If you had the Billups of old , than that’s a different story all together. His age...

Knicks Shooting Percentages. Not What You Think

Is Field Goal Percentage a true measurement of success in the NBA and have the Knicks improved in this area on last season’s squad? The 4 teams that made either the Eastern or Western Conference Finals were ranked in the top 5 in Field Goal Percentage come the end of the regular season. Only Denver split these 4 teams at the top of these standings. Read on… Related articles ...

Former Knick Charles Oakley takes shots at Melo and Amar’e

Carmelo and Amar’ecredit: http://2.bp.blogspot.com It was only a few years ago that the New York Knicks were clearing out cap space, seemingly to try to bring LeBron James to town in free agency. We all know that didn’t happen, but they have acquired quite a bit of talent over the past few seasons, and have at least made themselves relevant and dangerous. Of course, Amar’e...

WHO IS JR SMITH?????????

Who is JR Smith today? THE MOST DANGEROUS UNDERRATED/UNDER-PAID SG IN THE HISTORY OF THE NBA!   It is undeniable Smith has brought most of this on himself. He is the one who has failed to live up to his talent. He is the one who has made mistakes on, and most tragically, off the court. He is the one who has chosen to storm off the court and remove himself from his team.  ...

November Can't Come Soon Enough.

In the first month of the season, The Knicks are playing 9 teams straight that have made the playoffs last year. Early on, this is a great test for us. This makes sure we are focused right out of the gate. If we manage to get 7 wins out of the first 9, we will definitely be a 1st or 2nd seed in the east. Following a rough first nine games, we have a cake-walk. 5 out of the last...
