The Thunder hosted the Kings Wednesday night, in their last game before the All-Star break.
Unlike the game vs. the Kings on Saturday, the Thunder put it away early.
The Thunder came out strong out of the gate, scoring at will and putting the Kings on their heels early and often. The Thunder scored 37 points in the first quarter and led by 13 after 1. The second quarter was the Daequan Cook show, with Cook coming off the bench to hit some big threes. Another big quarter for the team, and the Thunder led by 18 at half. The third quarter was more of the same, with good shooting and good defense, and getting out in transition, and imposing their will on the Kings. Thunder led by 25 at the end of 3. The reserves got the majority of playing time in the fourth quarter, and played well together. The Thunder with a great team effort heading into All-Star Weekend with a 30 point victory.
Cook led the Thunder with 20 points on 5-7 shooting from deep. Kevin Durant added 17 points, and Nenad Krstic had 16. Make sure to watch All-Star Weekend. Serge Ibaka and James Harden are playing in the Rookie-Sophomore Game, Ibaka is in the dunk contest, and Durant and Russell Westbrook are in the All-Star Game on Sunday. Back next Tuesday at home v. the Clippers. Thunder Up!!!
