NBA 24/7 365:
Los Angeles Lakers
Oklahoma City Thunder
Golden State Warriors
Monday, January 7th: Grizzlies @ Kings, 10:00 ET, NBALP: Tony Allen tweeted at me today, so you best believe I’m going to support his Memphis Grizzlies as they head to Sacramento for a match up with the Queens. Also, Marc Gasol vs DeMarcus Cousins ought to be an intriguing battle of two highly-skilled heavyweights. Cousins has been in total beast-mode for about a week now, and Gasol just tied a Grizzlies franchise record for blocked shots in a single game.
Tuesday, January 8th: Lakers @ Rockets, 8:00 ET, NBATV: If you haven’t already heard, Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol are both out indefinitely — Dwight with some shredded shoulder cartilage and Pau with a concussion. Jordan Hill will also miss the next two games with a hip injury, which figures to make Robert Sacre the starting center. In other words, Kobe Bryant is going to shoot, and shoot, and shoot, and shoot. Who knows how many points he’ll score, but it’ll probably be even more than James Harden, who should be able to make...

The Lakers are in the midst of a melodrama that right now can only rival the Jets. They might be the most talented 15-18 team in the history of the league.
In this hilarious video courtesy of Cosby Sweaters, there is a maddening plea for the Lakers to trade embattled big man Pau Gasol.
The hilarity really ensues when famed singer, songwriter, and ASPCA supporter Sarah McLachlan...
Over the last two years Pau Gasol has just been going through some things. He just looks battered emotionally and physically.
If a picture is worth a 1000 words the one above is worth 10,000.
And the Los Angeles Lakers are even more behind the 8-ball. According to ESPN, Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol will miss time with injuries. Howard has a torn labrum while Gasol is out with a concussion. “It shouldn’t keep me out for awhile, but to make sure that I’m cautious, to make sure that I’m [...]

Dwight Howard, Pau Gasol and Jordan Hill all will miss the Los Angeles Lakers' upcoming road trip with injuries, leaving the struggling club without its top three big men.
Howard has a torn labrum in his right shoulder, and Gasol has a concussion after taking an elbow in the face late in Sunday night's loss to Denver. Hill, a key backup to both starting big men, has a right...
Torn labrum for Dwight Howard
The Los Angeles Lakers organization reported that center Dwight Howard has suffered a torn labrum and is out indefinitely.
The injury came in Sunday’s game against the Denver Nuggets.
To add insult to injury, literally, Pau Gasol was diagnosed with a concussion after being hit in the face in the same game.
What does this mean for...
Tweet The hits just keep on coming for the Los Angeles Lakers. As if dropping their last three games wasn’t enough, news has been released that Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol are both out with injuries: Dwight Howard is out at least 1 week with a torn labrum in his right shoulder. Re-evaluated next week. [...]
Ken Berger tweeted both of these breaking news.
Who says it never rains in southern California?
The Los Angeles Lakers dropped their fourth game of five Sunday, a 112-105 loss to the Denver Nuggets at the Staples Center. During the game center Dwight Howard aggravated his sprained rotator cuff in his right shoulder. He will have an MRI Monday morning, according to ESPN.
"I would like to play but I just want to make sure that my shoulder is good to go," Howard...
The Lakers are 15-18. They are currently 3 1/2 games below the 8th seed in the west. They head into Houston to try to snap a 3-game skid without their top 3 big men, who are all lost to injuries for at least a week. Mind you that the team is still struggling with their defensive effort and will have to stay as close to the surface of the water as possible while dealing with San Antonio...
If this season hasn't already been trying enough, the Los Angeles Lakers suffered another big blow entering this week.
The slumping Lakers won't have frontcourt players Dwight Howard, Pau Gasol and Jordan Hill for a difficult two-game road trip that begins Tuesday night against the Houston Rockets, who will seek a season high-tying fifth straight win.
Los Angeles entered...
After injuries to Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol, the Los Angeles Lakers’ frontline has been further decimated with the loss of Jordan Hill for at least a week, a league source told Yahoo! Sports.
An MRI exam on Monday revealed a small muscle tear in Hill’s hip, a source said.
