Los Angeles Lakers forward Pau Gasol has a reason for what his coach and Kobe Bryant think is a lack of hustle.  He has tendinitis in both knees.   "It was just something that started flaring up in the preseason," Gasol told ESPN after practice Monday. "I didn't want to stop, and I don't want to stop now. I just don't have that luxury." Gasol wears straps on both knees as a preventive Click Link Below to read More!

  • Unfortuately, running up and down court like a gazelle won't help his knee problem. He just can't play more than 30-32 min/gm in D'antoni's offense.

Lakers point guard Steve Nash continues to rehab injured leg

In a report by ESPN LA, Lakers point guard Steve Nash hopes to return back to the court soon.  He was able to participate during the Lakers practice at their facility in El Segundo, California.  Nash was to go through an MRI on Monday, but the Lakers decided to just have the Canadian point guard go through some drills with the Lakers strength coach.  As for a return date, the...

Gasol may be odd man out in L.A.

Pau Gasol’s season got off to a rough start. He clearly didn’t fit into Mike Brown’s Princeton offense and now Mike D’Antoni at the helm isn’t going any better. Gasol is posting career lows in points (13.1) and shooting percentage (42.3%) due to the fact that he’s forced out of the paint by Dwight Howard and taking more outside shots. While Pau is capable of knocking...

Nash expects to be out until at least next week

Lakers guard Steve Nash will be sidelined until at least next week, still unable to run without pain in his lower left leg, he said Tuesday. Nash took part in some agility drills Monday and tried to do some jogging but couldn't complete it symptom-free. He will probably undergo an MRI exam to get a fresh update on the small fracture in his lower left leg. Nash said he would...

Pau Gasol has knee tendinitis which could be why his game has suffered

According to a report by CBS Sports, Lakers forward Pau Gasol is dealing with knee tendinitis.  This could be a reason why his numbers and performance have not been in great shape lately.  The media and critics have been blaming head coach Mike D’Antoni and his new system as leaving Pau Gasol out of the loop, but the offense could just be an excuse.  Even his own teammate, Kobe...

Steve Blake will miss two more weeks

Dwight Howard clowns Kobe Bryant on team plane (VIDEO)

New team, same old Dwight Howard. After starting the 2012 NBA season at 1-4, the Los Angeles Lakers have bounced back nicely as they currently stand with a record of 7-7 in the Western Conference. During a recent team flight, Howard somehow gained control of the in-board intercom and decided to have some at the expense of some of his teammates. The major target of his rant was Kobe...

First Impression: Nike “Christmas” Pack

Last year, Nike released a surprising Christmas pack which featured three eye-catching sneakers from their most coveted athletes in Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, and Kevin Durant. This pack sold-out instantly and left those sneakerheads who missed out wondering if they could redeem themselves next year. The answer to that question is an emphatic yes! Images of this year’s “Christmas”...

Pacers-Lakers Preview

The Los Angeles Lakers finally may be getting the hang of coach Mike D'Antoni's up-tempo offense, which may be in for one of its toughest tests against the defensive-minded Indiana Pacers. Los Angeles begins a three-game homestand Tuesday night versus the Pacers, who will be kicking off a four-game road trip with the first of three straight games in California. The Lakers...

Guarded Feelings

Now that the rust is coming off the season (except for you Steve Nash), we’ll be splitting the Wednesday posts into morning (for recaps) and afternoon (for the tiers).  Check out the previous Centers, Forwards, and Guards tiers.  This week we’ll jump right into the guards. There’s been some movement on the PG front mainly because I had to move Kyrie Irving down due to his...

Rondo for MVP

Is it too early to start the campaign for Rajon Rondo as MVP of the 2012-2013 NBA season? Never too early to try…. It’s been almost ten years since Steve Nash or anyone won the MVP with stats similar to Rondo. I’m going to break down Rondo’s season so far stat wise vs. Steve Nash’s 2004-2005 season to make my point because you can always find stats to make your argument...
