For most of you, you are either a) looking forward to Packer season (only a few weeks until camp breaks!)

or  b) Pissed off about the Brewers lost season.

For some of us, the new look Bucks are as good as it gets for entertainment in the hot summer days.

For the casual fan, you know they made a trade and had a draft.  Let’s go a little deeper.

Yes he is that young and yes he is that skinny. Mr. Henson, welcome to Milwaukee, let’s get you a brat and beer at summerfest. Time to gain 50lbs of muscle!

As the Bucks pursue their championship the 8th seed playoff pursuit we consider what they did.

They gave up two BWS (bigh white stiffs) and an 8th or 9th bench player in Shaun Livingston for a legitimate center in the NBA.  Not an all star, but someone you plug in every night to rebound and play defense which he does quite well.  One, Samuel Dalembert.  Basically Houston traded everyone to get cap space or something and the Bucks were happy to help.   Oh and we went from 12 to 14th flipping draft picks, which is basically completely meaningless because both picks you are just guessing on potential.

Dalembert career stats.  8 pts per game, 8 boards and a block and a half a game.  More shots for Monte Ellis and Branchise which is fine. (He shoots 70% from the stripe, so Buck fans will like that.)

The Bucks didn’t have a center on the roster last year.   They basically had zero defense for the last ,oh, 10 years.

So it looks like the Bucks got the better of the trade, of course, expectations are still low, they are not going to go past the Heats or maybe even the Knicks with this trade.

Then with the 14th pick they drafted John Henson (aka Anthony Davis light) from North Carolina.

Most mock drafts had him going #9 to the Pistons.  When the Pistons took Drummond the stiff from Uconn, Henson started to fall.  Bucks would of took him at 12.  So luck was finally a little on the Bucks side.  Weird right?

Henson’s defensive impact and ability to contribute in other areas as well make him Anthony Davis-lite in this draft crop. He averaged 2.9 blocks last season and 3.2 in 2010-11, along with improving his scoring (from 11.7 points as a sophomore to 13.7 as a junior) and maintaining his solid rebounding (10.1 as a sophomore, 9.9 as a junior).

And it’s some insurance in case Frankenstein Illyasova doesn’t resign (good chance.)    ADD sidebar: Wouldn’t Ersan be a perfect fit on the Heat?

Starting Five Bucks next year:

Monte, shooting guard (point guard extra ordinary or whatever)

Branchise (please find a jump shot, and actually play defense this year)

Moute Moute as small forward, or could Tobias Harris take the leap?  (that would be sweet)… yeah this sucks.

Drew Gooden

and Dalembert.

8th seed here we come?

Ok, let’s talk Packers!  …gulp.
