Pass The Pill:
Glen Davis will look to lose some weight before returning to the floor.credit: nba.com Glen “Big Baby” Davis has certainly never been one of the lighter players in the league. ESPN lists him at 289 pounds, and there’s a reason for his nickname. He has been out for the past few weeks for the Orlando Magic due to a broken foot, and may not play again this year. In an effort to try to lose some weight and lower the strain on his body to try to stay on the court, Glen Davis has, believe it or not, decided to go vegan. Via Yahoo: This is why Davis is attempting to live a vegan lifestyle, eschewing all animal products as he tries to lose weight and lessen the strain on his, well, everything. For the man who once stole Tas Melas’ pizza, it’s a step in a healthier direction. If less delicious one. Losing weight can be a good idea for a lot of players, but you have to wonder how this will affect Davis’ game. Although he is probably overweight, a big part of his game is using his body and wide frame to his advantage. But, hey, if it can keep Glen Davis on the floor more, we won’t argue with it. -Mark Evans, Assistant Manager/Editor of Content Follow us on Twitter The post Glen Davis Is Going Vegan appeared first on Pass The Pill.

Glen “Big Baby” Davis has weighed more than 300 pounds several times since joining the Orlando Magic, and now he’s implementing a vegan diet to shed some pounds, which will also help his recovery from foot surgery.
According to Josh Robbins, Orlando Sentinel:
Glen Davis is trying a vegan diet — a diet in which he’s not consuming any animal products.

Dwight Howard is for all intents and purposes reportedly a nice guy that continually says the wrong thing.
This is especially true when it comes to anything surrounding his former team the Orlando Magic.
Howard has recently been involved in a salvo that has involved former teammates, fans and the organization itself as he stated that his former running mates were the guys that...
It has been two weeks since the Magic acquired Tobias Harris, Beno Udrih and Doron Lamb from Milwaukee for J.J. Redick, Ish Smith and Gustavo Ayon. Some of the initial shock has certainly worn off and the Magic have gotten some impressive play from Tobias Harris and Beno Udrih through three games in a Magic uniform.
The move was clearly a move that had the future in mind. Orlando...
Dwight Howard says he meant no disrespect toward his former Orlando Magic teammates in an answer he gave during an interview with a Los Angeles TV station CBS2KCAL9 on Tuesday.
"My team in Orlando was a team full of people who nobody wanted," said Howard, who was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in August after eight years with the Magic. "I was the leader, and I led...
Dwight Howard is the king of back pedaling. So it comes as no surprise to me that he’s now backing away from his comments regarding his former Orlando Magic teammates. During an interview this week, Dwight said that his Magic team was full of players nobody wanted. Following Wednesday night’s comeback win against the Pelicans (Hornets) – yes, I’m practicing saying this now...
After leading his team to a 39-23 record against the Orlando Magic Pacers Head Coach Frank Vogel discussed game tempo, three point shooting, and the upcoming showdown against Miami.

Everyone saw it coming. Everyone had it circled on their calendar. The epic in-state rivalry of the NBA’s best team going for their 16th straight win playing at home against… the second-worst team in the NBA. Of course it would be a nail-biter! The Heat went up big, but the Magic went on a 46-21 run and kept it tight until LeBron James’ game-winning layup. Good thing...
It looks like Dwight Howard is trying to go back on a statement he made a couple of days. After referring to his former Orlando Magic teammates as “nobodies” D12 is trying to clear the air on what he really meant. It’s funny how celebrities always claim that their quote was taken out of context, [...]
ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- Paul George had 25 points and Tyler Hansbrough added 18 and the Indiana Pacers used a big first half to roll past the Orlando Magic 115-86 on Friday.
Indiana scored 30 points off 21 Orlando turnovers and also connected on 11 3-pointers in the victory.
The offensive eruption came after a late-game offensive meltdown against Boston on Wednesday night that ended...
The physicality started almost from the opening tipoff when Arron Afflalo drove into the lane and got into a minor shoving match with Paul George. The two picked up technical fouls as they pushed each other and shared some pleasant words before teammates were able to separate them.
It was the beginning of Indiana getting under Orlando's skin. It was a constant theme throughout...

Not surprisingly, the backlash from Dwight Howard calling his Orlando teammates, “a team full of people nobody wanted” has come. Jameer Nelson criticized Howard about his comments and said that he needs to “take ownership” of the things he says in the media.
Now, JJ Reddick, another teammate of Howard has chimed in. Reddick told Dave McMenamin of ESPN LA that he’s “not...
