Glen Davis will look to lose some weight before returning to the floor.credit: nba.com Glen “Big Baby” Davis has certainly never been one of the lighter players in the league. ESPN lists him at 289 pounds, and there’s a reason for his nickname. He has been out for the past few weeks for the Orlando Magic due to a broken foot, and may not play again this year. In an effort to try to lose some weight and lower the strain on his body to try to stay on the court, Glen Davis has, believe it or not, decided to go vegan. Via Yahoo: This is why Davis is attempting to live a vegan lifestyle, eschewing all animal products as he tries to lose weight and lessen the strain on his, well, everything. For the man who once stole Tas Melas’ pizza, it’s a step in a healthier direction. If less delicious one. Losing weight can be a good idea for a lot of players, but you have to wonder how this will affect Davis’ game. Although he is probably overweight, a big part of his game is using his body and wide frame to his advantage. But, hey, if it can keep Glen Davis on the floor more, we won’t argue with it. -Mark Evans, Assistant Manager/Editor of Content Follow us on Twitter The post Glen Davis Is Going Vegan appeared first on Pass The Pill.
