The Gordon Hayward bandwagon is growing. The Utah small forward likely isn't a secret after being highlighted on Rotoworld, Give Me The Rock and Yahoo's Court Report. Why the love?
Hayward has been superb in the month of February. In seven games, he's averaging 14.4 points on 56.1 percent shooting (85.7 percent FT) with 2.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.3 steals and .9 blocks. It doesn't hurt that his minutes are up to 32.6 per game. You gotta love those assist numbers from a forward. And if you've seen the Jazz this season, you've likely seen Hayward throw down a sick dunk or two (see the video above).
The knock on Hayward is he's not a great three-point threat (he's only hit three this month and 16 for the season). He also had a really poor start to the season (he was a sub-40 percent shooter in December and January). But he's since caught fire, highlighted in last night's road win over the Memphis Grizzlies.
