No KG? No problem! This game wasn’t fun to watch if you are a Suns fan, and the forums showed. Jeff Green started at center for the C’s and had his way with them. The Suns fans were out in full quirkiness with their unabashed sorrow for their awful team. The only thing they got jacked up for was when the Morris’s bro and Garrett got some PT…. oh the good ‘ol days of getting excited about scrubs getting in (I’m looking at you Scal).
1) These isos for Jermaine weren't very efficient when he was in his prime and they haven’t gotten better as he’s calcified.
2) The Gorilla outscored Beasley. As did the kid who mops the sweat off the floor.
3) Awful play for the Suns, our commentators are more focused on ugly shoes and howie long.
Play of the Game: (On pretty much any play Jeff made all night)
Green is abusing us.
The Full Slate:
Resting Garnett? That is quite insulting. Sick 'em Dragic!
Tough to tell Kieff and Marcus apart one walked right next to me, and I g...

Jeff Green has been considered sort of a poison pill since Danny shockingly traded Kendrick Perkins for him. That move seemingly ripped the heart out of the team and ultimately sent the them into a tailspin. To make matters worse "Uncle Jeff's" heart ailment resulted in him sitting out all of the 2012 season. The following season saw Danny Ainge give him a 36 million...
Celtics fans, enjoy this utterly dominant performance by Jeff Green.
#8 delivered his best game as a Celtic, compiling 31 points on a scorching hot 11-14 shooting with 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, and FIVE BLOCKS. Most impressive to me, he did not even dunk the ball, instead showing off the full arsenal by slashing, facilitating, and knocking down shots from long range to...

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump.
But the way the 25-year-old has played in two games thus far for the Celtics — averaging 5.5 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists in 18.5 minutes — he is making a strong case to stay...
What Jeff Green did to the Suns tonight wasn’t nice at all. Let’s just say Doc picked the right game to rest KG and start Jeff. The Suns had NO answers for Green as he dropped 31 on 11 of 14 shooting in a 113-88 win. And that was just the start. Let’s get to it…
Never before has this section been more appropriately named. Jeff Green **** on the Suns tonight...
Led by Jeff Green's 31 points, the Boston Celtics cruised to a 25 point victory over the Phoenix Suns on Friday night. Highlights above, box score below.
Boston Celtics 113, Phoenix Suns 88 - FINAL - February 22, 2013
Boston Celtics (29-26)
The Boston Celtics sat Kevin Garnett Saturday and still easily defeated the Phoenix Suns -- thanks to Jeff Green.
The fifth-year forward dominated, making 11-of-14 shots, including three 3-pointers, for 31 points. He added a full stat line of seven rebounds, four assists, two steals and five blocks in 39 minutes. It was a dominant performance, but one that we've come to expect...
Tonight, the Celtics lost a game that they definitely should have won. It seemed like the opening couple of minutes screwed them for the rest of the game. They trailed by nine after the first and never improved. In the fourth quarter, they made a very small run that gave then some momentum as they got to within 12. After that, they gave up, the Lakers regained a 20-point lead, and...
PHOENIX (AP) -- Jeff Green gave Boston a sensational performance in his first start in nearly two years.
Green scored a season-high 31 points on 11-of-14 shooting and the short-handed Celtics routed the Phoenix Suns 113-88 on Friday night.
"I didn't have a different mindset," said Green, who missed last season following heart surgery to correct an aortic aneurysm...
Boston got back on the right track last night, getting their first win in Phoenix since 2009. Jeff Green led the way w/31 points as the C’s trounced the Suns 113-88.
The next stop on the Celtics west coast trip is Portland. Celts-Blazers tips-off at 9pm EST tomorrow night. Check out some pics & GIFs from last night’s win via HoopChina…
Kevin Garnett sat out Friday night (DNP – old and tired) and Jeff Green finally got his chance to start. Doing the best KG impression he could muster, he tore up Los Suns with a season-high 31 points and added 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and 5 blocks. Oh, hello there! What did you say your name was? I don’t believe we’ve met. They traded you for who–Kendrick Perkins...
It's hard to say where these guys are heading.
I have no idea what to make of this team at the moment. Through the first half of the season Boston lost a lot of games to opponents with inferior talent. I remember thinking on many occasions that the C's couldn't beat any quick young teams, regardless of how bad their players were. However, my outlook remained positive...

You knew that the Lakers and their fans would be emotional tonight, and that L.A. would feed off of it, but the Celtics showed little resistance. Call it “tired legs”, second night of a back-to-back, blah blah. Boston just did not play defense tonight. Period. They fall 113-99 on L.A.
As Doc told his troops at halftime, “they’re getting whatever they want..” Couldn’t...
The Celtics players can exhale now that the trade deadline has past with barely a blip on the radar screen. Boston has made some minor moves to add to their guard core, but still failed to address the donut hole in the middle. The one thing that makes me wander what the "#@#$", Doc Rivers and Danny have in mind for the race to the playoffs was the trade of Jason Collins...
