The needs of the Celtics have been well documented on this site and we are all in agreement that size is the biggest concern with bench scoring next on the list.
As the free agent market opens up officially today and is drying up by the second, lets discuss two lesser names that many are not talking about in free agency.
Kelenna Azubuike and Chris Wilcox.
How the Celtics could get them:The Celtics will need multiple pieces to fill out the roster and these two gentleman will come at a bargain basement price should the Celtics find themselves interested in one or both. Signing them outright at the veteran's minimum is certainly in the realm of possibility.
Pros: The Celtics lacked scoring punch and rebounding last season, especially off the bench. Azubuike is only 27 years old. He can score and hit the three with consistency. While Wilcox doesn't exactly inspire excitement, he is a big body that could help provide rebounding and post scoring. His potential is fading but he c...

The Celtics have re-signed 25-year old forward Jeff Green to a 1-year deal. Green played in 26 games (2 starts) for the Celtics last year and he averaged 23.5 minutes, 9.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and 0.7 assists per game. He played in 75 games (51 starts) overall last year for the Thunder & Celtics and he averaged 32.4 minutes, 13.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game...
Celtics big man initiation: Get in an altercation with Zaza Pachulia.Playing with Jermaine O’Neal last season, at least offensively, was sometimes like playing four-on-five — or rather, it was like playing five-on-five, if one of the five players was a six-time NBA All-Star whose legs simply couldn’t afford him the lift to affect a game on one end of the court.Due to his...
The Hornets are doing due diligence on Rajon Rondo.
Chris Wilcox has signed a one-year deal with the Celtics for the veteran minimum.
According to Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski, The David West deal is waiting on the NBA. Unlike the previous report that said Jermaine O'Neal and Sasha Pavlovic were the other pieces in the deal, it now looks as though our rookies JaJuan Johnson and E'Twan Moore are being discussed. I really hope we don't lose our rookies, I am really excited to see them in Celtics green.
“I believe that conditioning-wise, I can go a lot further,” he said. “You can’t control injuries and things like that, but physically, if it comes down to pure strength — quads, legs, core, upper body — I’m a hell of a lot stronger.”
“I’ve been challenged all my life,” said O’Neal. “This ain’t nothing new. If I was afraid...

With the news that the Lakers are out of the Chris Paul hunt and that they've shifted to acquiring Dwight Howard (which they will thanks to the NBA owners idiotic vetoing of the original CP3 deal) expect Danny Ainge to make another strong push for CP3.
We already know the cost for CP3's buddy David West is Jermaine O'Neal and JaJuan Johnson.
Doesn’t it feel like David West sort of belongs on the Celtics? He has a little dog in him, and maybe it’s just us, but he seems like a great fit up there. Luckily for Boston fans, Danny Ainge agrees with us, and as of now, the Celtics are on the verge of adding the [...]
