San Antonio Spurs draftee Adam Hanga is apparently being wooed by Spanish club Bilbao in the ACB League but has turned down their offer according to his agent. Adam Hanga rejected today for a 2nd time Bilbao's offer. Our primary target for next season is a EUL club, not excluding however EUc clubs — GiorgosDimitropoulos (@DimitropulosFCM) May 9, 2013 As his agent states, it seems Hanga will be looking to leave Manresa but in a follow-up Tweet, he says his client has two more years left with Manresa but his current contract has out-clause options. Hanga is under contract with @bqmanresa for 2more years, but with out-clauses. Situation will evolve with the cooperation of his current club — GiorgosDimitropoulos (@DimitropulosFCM) May 9, 2013 This is quite interesting. Hanga has been playing well with Manresa averaging 11.7 points, 2.3 assists, 4.5 rebounds in 25.6 minutes for Manresa. With his progress on the court, perhaps now Hanga feels he is ready to take on stiffer competition in the EU League. Recently, Hanga did state he is looking forward to playing in the NBA eventually but isn't in a rush nor does he see the NBA as a goal rather as an opportunity. Moreover, he does admit his game is not at the NBA level yet. At this point, if playing in the EU League will only help his game progress to the point he feels ready to make his way to the Spurs, then so be it.

Mavs' eyes on Splitter?

This summer, Tiago Splitter becomes a restricted free agent. I know quite a few San Antonio Spurs fans who would have told you last year that they were looking forward to the day when Splitter could leave the Spurs for another team. However, after improving on all of his numbers this year, almost as if he were auditioning for free agency, Splitter has become a lot more valuable...

Spurs’ Danny Green puts Warriors’ star Steph Curry on a poster

San Antonio Spurs swingman Danny Green skied up for a huge slam against Steph Curry, who with a sprained ankle never had a chance.

Spurs back to square one

If it appears the San Antonio Spurs took a step back in Game 4 after their domination in Game 3, it’s because four games into the series both teams are right back where they started. The Game 1 the Golden State Warriors gave away was given right back by the Spurs in Game 4, blowing an eight-point lead in the fourth quarter in what will now be known as the "Mother’s Day...

Video: Spurs' top plays in Game 4

The San Antonio Spurs had a few big plays in Game 4 against the Golden State Warriors on Sunday afternoon. From a Danny Green put-back dunk to a ridiculous Tony Parker And 1 shot, the Spurs didn't have the usual "boring label" that's usually given to them. The silver and black didn't come out with a win which would've been preferred by the fanbase, but...

Popovich: Rebounding & shooting are Spurs’ concerns heading into Game 5 vs. Warriors

AT&T Center – On Monday, I tweeted this. #Spurs' 3-point shooters across the board are struggling shooting the basketball. Manu-Green-Kawhi-Neal are a combined 42-of-126 from three. — Paul Garcia PS (@24writer) May 14, 2013 As the San Antonio Spurs’ key shooters struggle to find their rhythm against the Golden State Warriors four games into their series...

Matchup of the Game: Spurs vs. Warriors Game 5

The matchup of the Game for Game 5 will be between Manu Ginobili and Jarrett Jack. San Antonio Spurs guard Manu Ginobili had a breakout game for the series in Game 4 with 21 points (8-18 FG) and 50% shooting (5-10) from beyond the arc, but the team still fell to the Golden State Warriors. While Ginobili had a great game, the majority of his points came in the first half with...

Hanga continues breakthrough campaign

Editor's Note: Gábor Zsivera, who is the chief editor over at Hungarian basketball site starting5.hu, and follows Spurs draftee Adam Hanga very closely, has agreed to contribute reports on Hanga every other week for Project Spurs. While we try to follow the international players the San Antonio Spurs have rights to frequently, we thought this was another great option for our...

Green talks about guarding Curry

After looking like a superhero in Game 1 against the San Antonio Spurs, scoring 44 points and hitting six three-pointers, Stephen Curry has come back to earth a little bit. He’s still averaging a little over 20 points a game in the last three, but the Spurs have clearly found a way to slow him down a little bit. Part of that success can be attributed to the defense of Danny...

Spurs go silent in overtime, fall to Warriors in Game 4

With 4:49 remaining in the fourth quarter, the San Antonio Spurs were less than five minutes away from taking a commanding 3-1 series lead over the Golden State Warriors Sunday in Oracle Arena. Then, the Spurs held an 80-72 lead over the Warriors, but a change was coming for the silver and black. In those final 4:49 minutes the Spurs went cold and were outscored 12-4 as the Warriors...

Notes From Game 4: Warriors Evolve Vs The Spurs

Now THIS is a damn series. The storyline: the proud, pedigreed, veteran team of cool professionals was supposed to surgically dispatch the brash, exciting, youthful novices from Oakland in 4 or 5 short games.  This 2nd round match-up was supposed to be nothing more than a tune up for the Spurs as they prepped to battle Memphis in the Western Conference Finals, and an abject lesson...
