Kirk Hinrichs tenure with Hawks hits yet another speed bump, as Hawks general manager Rick Sund said guard Kirk Hinrich had surgery to to remove a cyst and repair the labrum in his left shoulder, according to AJC.com.
Hinirich is expected to miss, at least, the first month of the regular season, but Sund said the injury typically requires three to four months to heal, which would mean a more likely estimation
Aquired from Washington last February in a trade for rookie Jordan Crawford and a 2011 first round pick, Hinrich battled shoulder, elbow and calf injuries throughout last season, before injuring his hamstring in Game 6 of Atlantas series against Orlando.
With only three guards under contract Hinrich, Joe Johnson and Jeff Teague Hinrichs absence almost surely re-prioritizes the Hawks focus going into this seasons protracted free-agency period.
