MIAMI What happened: The Miami Heat might have another long rest. The Heat defeated the Chicago Bulls 94-91 Wednesday night at AmericanAirlines Arena to win their Eastern Conference semifinal 4-1. Now, the Heat might not start the East finals until next Wednesday. But it wasnt easy in Game 5 against the Bulls. The Heat took an 18-point lead in the first quarter before falling behind by 11 in the third quarter. But they rallied in a fourth quarter that started with Chicago leading by eight. Forward LeBron James led the Heat with 23 points and guard Dwyane Wade, shaking off a sore knee, added 18. Chicago got 26 points from forward Carlos Boozer, but just seven in the second half. Indiana leads New York 3-1 in the other East semifinal. If the Pacers close out the Knicks on Thursday, the East finals will start Monday in Miami. If not, the series will begin Wednesday. After sweeping Milwaukee 4-0 in the first round, the Heat had seven days off prior to the Chicago series. Now, they might have six. The turning point: Trailing 77-69 to start the fourth quarter, the Heat went on a 13-4 run to take an 82-81 advantage. That was their first lead since midway through the second quarter. The Heat were keyed during the run by forward Shane Battier. He hit a pair of 3-pointers and also made two free throws after being fouled on a 3-pointer. After that run, the Heat kept the pressure on Chicago. They extended the lead to as many as seven points late before the Bulls had a chance to tie the score in the waning seconds. But they missed two 3-pointers. The difference maker: The bench in the fourth quarter. Entering the final quarter, the Heat had just 10 points from their reserves. But they got 15 in the fourth quarter, including eight from Battier. In the end, the Heat simply wore down Chicago. The Bulls have played the entire series without injured starters Derrick Rose, Luol Deng and Kirk Hinrich. What it means: The Heat could get plenty of rest before the East final. Theres good and bad to that. The good is Wade, bothered by a bone bruise on his right knee, will get additional time to heal. The bad news is the Heat could again come out rusty, which is what happened when they had a big break before losing to the Bulls 83-76 in Game 1 of their just-completed series. What's next: Game 1 of the East Finals against Indiana on Monday or against the Pacers or New York next Wednesday at AmericanAirlines Arena. Dwyane Wade Wears Capri-Style Pants to Heat-Bulls Matchup, Continues Bizarre Fashion Choices (Photo)

Dwyane Wade may be a very talented basketball player, but his fashion choices are eminently questionable. For years now the Heat’s secondary star has been at the forefront of the NBA’s obsession with fashion. Likewise, as with many fashion-minded people, he tends to take his esoteric looks a little too far. Just days ago brought you Wade wearing a bizarre floral-print...

NBA Fashion: Dwyane Wade's Suit Shows Off His Ankles

Dwyane Wade, man oh man ! you know how to keep your audience on their toes with your sense of style. For game 4 Vs. Chicago last night, Dwyane had the media buzzing once again, as he transitioned from a vibrant Versace floral print jacket for Game 3, to a pattern double-breasted suit, which featured a slim pair of cropped trousers. Wow, the length of Dwyane’s pants actually stopped...

Dwyane Wade Says He & Craig Sager Have Something in Common (Video)

Craig Sager is just like POPS from the movie Boomerang. He is just coordinating his outfits, that is what old people do. I don’t know what D Wade is doing, but now he and Sager share a bond.

Dwyane Wade comes alive to help Heat to series victory

MIAMI Dwyane Wade claimed before Wednesdays game there was no story surrounding his ailing knee. He then provided one. Say what you want about the Miami Heat guard and his performance this postseason. Theres no question he has been hurting, which has resulted in at least some concern. Still, before Game 5 of an Eastern semifinal against the Chicago Bulls, Wade shrugged off all...

Dwyane Wade's injury no issue as Heat keep rolling

Dwyane Wade is limping around and having the worst postseason of his NBA career. Still, its hard to think it could be doomsday when Wades Miami Heat have won three straight games by a combined margin of 70 points. As always is the case, naysayers will dwell on trouble spots that could hamper the Heat down the playoff road. The reality, though, is nobody really knows. Its hard to...

DWade Wears Tiny Pants

Dwyane Wade might be the best dressed athlete around (he has my vote), but his ensemble before yesterday’s game might be a bit too far. Carpis and loafers? We’re not on a boat D, and I don’t see Gatsby LeBron Commits Foul The Golden Child

Dwyane Wade, Heat Too Good as Carlos Boozer, Bulls Discover Guts Are Not Enough

There was some question as to whether Dwyane Wade would suit up on Wednesday. With the Heat holding a controlling advantage over the Bulls in their best-of-seven series, the All-Star guard could have sat out Game 5 to rest his sore knee and fallout from his absence may have been negligible. Still, there was no way Wade could miss this one. He may have been hurting. It may be a little...

Bulls-Heat Preview

Dwyane Wade is limping around in obvious pain. LeBron James' shooting percentage is down. Shane Battier and Ray Allen have struggled to get anything going from 3-point range. The Eastern Conference semifinals have been far from perfect for the Miami Heat. And the reigning NBA champions are now in absolute control of this series nonetheless. Barely a week ago, there was so...

Welcome To Project Money Shot

^^^Horse's Ass^^^ Yesterday ended up being a pretty ****** day at work which greatly cut into my appropriated bloggin’ time. That makes me sad and ripe for Stan’s criticism. Just kidding—he only berates awful internet journalists. It’s going to be a pretty simple post today that should have opinions a-flowin’. Strap on your capri pants, Dwyane Wade, because today we’re...
