MIAMI -- Welcome back after six months, NBA fans. You've seen five months of it spent in a lockout and the last several weeks in a controversy-filled stampede of rumors and player movement.

Thanks to a new marketing deal with a Chinese beer company, the Miami Heat may soon be taking their talents to China. Reports the Miami Herald: “A multi-year marketing partnership announced Tuesday between the team and Chinese beer company Tsingtao could be a prelude to a Heat exhibition tour as soon as next year. ‘We’re not in control of that, the NBA is. But we have every...

The tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. and can be purchased on Heat.com, ticketmaster.com or at 1-800-4NBA-TIX. There's an eight ticket...
Second-year center Dexter Pittman earned praise for his aggressive play against Dwight Howard during Sunday nights preseason game.
There was a whole lot about the NBA lockout that was really about LeBron James. About who has the power, the owners or players. But some things are more specific than others. Like this note from the Sports Business Journal (via Eye on Basketball). NBA players are now prohibited from holding an ownership stake in…
Q: How worried should we be about the Knicks? They signed Baron Davis and might add James Posey. I think they could be better than Boston this year. -- Jeffrey.
