The Miami Heat will likely sign shot-blocking forward Jarvis Varnado to a 10-day contract, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.
As long as Varnado clears league waivers on Tuesday afternoon, he will be eligible to a sign a 10-day contract with Miami. The Boston Celtics waived Varnado on Sunday.
Varnado had played sparsely in five games for the Celtics after a call up from Sioux Falls of the Development League.The Heat originally drafted Varnado. Pity that he didn't get a longer look in Boston.

Varnado was signed by Boston on December 14 and played in five games for the Celtics, totaling six points and three rebounds. He was waived on January 6. Varnado was originally a second-round draft choice by the Heat in the 2010 draft.
