The Charlotte Bobcats have extended a qualifying offer to guard Gerald Henderson, making him a restricted free agent, but not to center Byron Mullens. The qualifying offer of $4.2 million to Henderson will allow the Bobcats to match any offer he receives from another team. The Bobcats decided not to extend Mullens a $3.2 million qualifying offer. Mullens becomes a free agent. Charlotte selected Henderson with the 12th overall pick in the 2009 draft. He's coming off his best season, averaging a career-high 15.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists and one steal in 31.4 minutes per game. Mullens played in 53 games last season, averaging 10.6 points and 6.4 rebounds in 26.9 minutes per game.

With The 4th Pick In The Draft The Bobcats Pray That Nerlens Noel Has His Legs Amputated

750 fans showed up at a Charlotte Bobcats draft party last night and were each shocked…that 749 other fans showed up at a Charlotte Bobcats draft party. No, that’s not why they were shocked—I tease. They were shocked that the Bobcats selected Cody Zeller with the fourth pick in the draft, of course. Once again, [...]

Did Bobcats Make Right Pick in Cody Zeller?

I can easily say I did see this coming. I scouted most of the lottery picks for the 2013 NBA Draft, and based on the needs of the Charlotte Bobcats, I predicted they would draft a big man (tough prediction, right?), but more importantly, I had my eyes on Zeller is the pick all along. [...]

Bobcats select Indiana center Zeller with No. 4 pick

CHARLOTTTE, N.C. -- Everything was set up perfectly for the Charlotte Bobcats in the NBA Draft Thursday night. Finally.Nerlens Noel was still available. Ben McLemore and Alex Len were, too. This was the pick Charlotte couldnt lose with or be questioned about. The two most talented players on the board were still there at No. 4 and all annoyances of falling to No. 4 in the lottery...

Bobcats fans Boo the Crap out of Cody Zeller Pick at Draft Party (Video)

Charlotte Bobcats fans need to boo Michael Jordan and the team’s front office and not poor Cody Zeller, who probably didn’t want to end up in an organization where in recent times, basketball careers have gone to suffer a slow and seemingly painful death but I digress. Bobcats fans showed up at the Times Warner Cable Arena, for the team’s draft party, hoping the organization...

Video: Charlotte Bobcats fans at draft party less than thrilled about Cody Zeller selection

Tweet The Charlotte Bobcats, despite having the second worst record in the NBA last year, fell to the fourth pick in the NBA Draft Lottery. That seemed to limit any good fortune that might come their way. Then the unthinkable happened: on draft night, Nerlens Noel plummeted down draft boards and ended up being there [...]

Bobcats Like Cody Zeller's Offensive Versatility, Court Speed

The Charlotte Bobcats like Cody Zeller’s ability to run the floor and shoot with range. “People forget he was (projected as) the No. 1 pick in the preseason,” Rich Cho said. “He’s a versatility pick – inside and outside (scorer). He’s one of the best athletes in this draft. His work ethic is off the charts. He’s a competitor and his character is off the charts....

Charlotte Bobcats fans boo Cody Zeller selection at Bobcats draft party

Outside of the Cleveland Cavaliers taking Anthony Bennett with the first pick of the 2013 NBA Draft, the most surprising selection of the first round was the Charlotte Bobcats selecting Cody Zeller with their fourth pick. As you might figure, many Charlotte fans weren’t exactly thrilled with the pick and during the draft party held at Time Warner Arena, a large chorus of boos reigned...

And With The Fourth Pick

That’s right; with the 4th pick in the NBA Draft the Charlotte Bobcats selected Cody Zeller.  Was I shocked?  Of course I was.  Honestly, I believe that everyone was shocked with the first 7 picks.  Did all of the teams get it right?  Did Charlotte get it right?  How bad was the “boo-fest” at TWC Arena as our 4th pick was announced?  That's right, there was...
