The Times Picayune reports: The Hornets are close to finalizing a contract to bring back backup center Aaron Gray, league sources confirmed on Sunday.
Gray said in April that he wanted to return to the Hornets. He was obtained by the Hornets in a trade last January with the Bulls in exchange for shooting guard Devin Brown.
In 24 games last season, Gray averaged 3.3 points and 3.3 rebounds for the Hornets. Gray became an unrestricted free agent on July 1.
