Hakim Warrick was acquired by the Charlotte Bobcats on Tuesday from the New Orleans Hornets in exchange for Matt Carroll. Warrick, a 6-foot-9 forward, has averaged 9.5 points and 4.1 rebounds in an eight-year career that includes time with Memphis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Phoenix and New Orleans. He appeared in only one game this season with the Hornets. Carroll, a 6-6 guard, had two stints with the Bobcats, but he appeared in only one game this season and was not part of coach Mike Dunlap's plans. Dunlap said he liked Warrick's versatility at both forward positions. "He can score points quickly, and he does it with a high field-goal percentage, so he takes good shots," Dunlap said.
