SAN ANTONIO -- The San Antonio Spurs have been a model of consistency in the Tim Duncan era, but have struggle this season to put a complete game together. On Friday night against the Houston Rockets they solved the problem. Duncan had 12 points and 12 rebounds to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 114-92 win over the Rockets Friday night at the AT&T center. San Antonio, fifth in the league in scoring, was hot from the floor all game, shooting 55 percent by making 48 of 87 field goals. They were 12 of 13 from the free-throw line. "It was a great start to a back-to-back," said Duncan of the Spurs win. "It was a good win for us. We had focus, especially early, and just kept putting it on." The Spurs had six other players in double figures, led by Tony Parker with 17 points. Tiago Splitter added 15, Gary Neal, Manu Ginobili and Nando De Colo each had 12 as San Antonio moved to 16-4. They are the first team in the NBA with 16 wins. All 13 Spurs players...

San Antonio Spurs swingman Stephen Jackson, who is out with a broken pinky, sat down with ESPN's Chris Palmer for a Q&A about his rap career, playing for the Golden State Warriors in 2007 and the Palace brawl.
On Nov. 19, 2004 a fight broke out between Jackson's Indiana Pacers and the Detroit Pistons in Auburn Hills, Mich. The fight escalated to the point Jackson...
San Antonio Spurs' Tim Duncan seems to be looking to put the NBA's big men on his poster collection.
First it was Memphis' Marc Gasol and last night, TD showed Houston's Patrick Patterson that he still has what it takes to slam one down with authority.
Check out Duncan putting Patterson on a poster.
As if that wasn't enough, even Matt Bonner...
Anytime either San Antonio Spurs' Manu Ginobili or Nando De Colo are on the court together, you know something highlight worthy might happen.
Whether it be a clutch three from De Colo or some all out hustle play from Ginobili but one thing is for sure, these two players can pass the ball as they showed in last night's Spurs' win over the Houston Rockets.
Remember that whole “Malice at the Palace” thing? Of course you do. It’s the night NBA fans were glued to their TV sets watching Ron Artest hunt down the dopey fan who decided it was a good idea to toss a beer cup at a 6’8″ physical specimen with anger management issues. Aside from Artest’s infamous charge into the crowd, other memorable images showed a crazed Stephen...
The past two haven't been an easy transition for Tiago Splitter. He was a very timid player who didn't know how to fit in with a team that started playing a free flow type offense and his defense wasn't the best either.
This year is a different story and the San Antonio Spurs are reaping the rewards of Splitter's adjustment to the league.
His head coach...

So far this season when an opposing team plays the San Antonio Spurs, their head coach is going to ask to comment on Gregg Popovich's decision to rest his stars. The responses from the coaching community has been siding with Pop and add Milwaukee Bucks head coach Scott Skiles.
When he was discussing bench players taking advantage of extra minutes when a guy is injured, he...
The San Antonio Spurs (16-4) are back on the road as they face the Charlotte Bobcats (7-11) tonight in Charlotte.
The Spurs are coming off a 114-92 win at home versus the Rockets where six Spurs players scored in double-digits.
"Great start to a back-to-back. Good win for us,” said Tim Duncan (12 points, 12 rebounds) after the game, “we focused early."
Fine or no fine, Gregg Popovich isn't likely to change his philosophy on resting starters throughout the season.
So far, the San Antonio Spurs' bench has been ready to answer the coach's call.
The Spurs, though, won't get a break in the schedule Friday night when they host the Houston Rockets, losers of five straight on the road.
San Antonio's reserves nearly...
After the San Antonio Spurs' recent win over the Milwaukee Bucks, I had a chance to speak with Bucks point guard Brandon Jennings.
Jennings, who finished with 14 points and four assists in 38 minutes of action versus the Spurs, spoke on San Antonio and what it takes to play against them to have a shot at winning, his thoughts on the controversial photo with Tim Duncan and...
Spurs Stephen Jackson had a few thoughts to share with Twitter on Friday night about Thunder forward Serge Ibaka. During Lakers vs. Thunder, Serge and Metta World Peace had a brief altercation. The matchup of the night for the second game of a back-to-back in Charlotte will be between point guards Tony Parker and Kemba Walker.
Parker is having a great season so far averaging 18.3ppg with 7.3apg while Walker is averaging 17.1ppg and 6.2apg.
With both guards using their speed to their advantage, it will be interesting to see how Walker defends on the perimeter and...
