Earlier in the year at HoopStuff, an article was written that Houston Rockets’ GM, Darryl Morey should win the NBA’s Executive of the Year Award. This still holds true, but he has done so much more since then, that it really is no contest. After stealing Thomas Robinson from the Kings and making a brilliant waiver wire move to sign Aaron Brooks, he has all but sealed the deal and without a doubt should be the Executive of the Year in the NBA for 2012-13. For years Morey was scolded for simply collecting assets and doing nothing with them, but this year he has had the last laugh, using those assets to trade for All Star James Harden and someone landing the fifth overall pick from this year’s draft, in Thomas Robinson, who has star potential down low, as well as numerous other smart decisions to make the roster.
Here is Morey’s 2012-13 Résumé
