It’s Wednesday, which means the NBA’s biggest night of the week, and what better way to stay involved then a daily contest from our friends at DraftKings? For some of you out there, you may be thinking your regular fantasy season is dead, so this is a great way to get back in the (fantasy basketball) game. Even if you’re still knee deep in fantasy competition, getting involved in a daily league can help keep you sharp and stay focused. DraftKings offers contests like the NBA $15K Big Wednesday Special or the NBA Steps (where you can turn $2 into $1,000, which will buy you a whole lot of sandwiches). If you live and breathe fantasy basketball, you become one with the ball. You are the ball. Now let’s have a ball with some daily competition, eh? This week, I want to focus on key value guys, worth $6,000 or less at DraftKings, who you can pair around a high priced stud.  Over the last 5 games, Raymond Felton ($5,700) is averaging 10 points, 3 rebounds, 9 assists and almost a steal. The Knicks are a dynamic team, even with their various problems, so the assists should keep coming. Mike Conley ($5,600) is averaging 14 points, 2 boards, 5 dimes and most importantly 2 steals over the past 10 games. During his last 3 games, he averaged 3, 4 and 2 steals. Thabo Sefolosha ($3,600) is underwhelming, except for the fact he has had at least 2 steals in 8 of his last 9 games. Ricky Rubio ($4,800) has been slow to return, but he was averaging 9 points and 7 assists over the past week and just exploded for 15 points and 14 assists on Monday. If you need some big men, may I suggest the King of Blocks, Serge Ibaka ($5,900)? It seems like a man that was overrated in the preseason has become underrated during the course of the year. Maybe it’s because of the availability of guys like Larry Sanders ($6,000)? Ibaka’s rebounds can be uninspiring (6 or less in 5 of the past 8 games), but he still delivers blocks (at least 2 in 6 of those same 8 games). Sanders, of course, has been prime Ibaka. In 3 games in February, he is averaging 10 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 blocks. Feel free to hit me up in comments if you have any questions about solid plays for tonight’s game, as well as some players to avoid (Chris Paul is a good bet to stay away from).
