Indiana Pacers News: Tyrese Haliburton Enters Oscar Robertson Territory in Thrilling Game 4 Victory Vs. Milwaukee Bucks
Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

The Indiana Pacers are on the brink of advancing to the second round of the 2024 NBA playoffs after going up 3-1 against the Milwaukee Bucks following their 126-113 Game 4 win on Sunday.

The team set the new franchise record for most three-pointers made in a single playoff game with 22, as four players made at least three three-point shots.

“After that first game, we watched a lot of film and I saw some of the holes in the defense and realized there were open shots we could exploit,” Myles Turner said via Associated Press. “A lot of it is read and react, which is pretty much what our whole offense is.”

“In a league that says you can’t play fast in the playoffs, we really don’t believe in that. We’re going to be who we are,” said Tyrese Haliburton.

After his Game 3 heroics on Friday, Tyrese Haliburton put up 24 points, four rebounds, and four assists, including five three-pointers while going 8-of-16 from the field in Game 4.

Tyrese Haliburton became the second player in NBA history after Oscar Robertson to average at least 15 points, 10 assists, and five rebounds per game in their first four playoff games, according to Indiana Pacers PR, with norms of 15.8 points, 10.0 assists, and 6.3 rebounds per game.

Fortunately for the Indiana Pacers, Tyrese Haliburton doesn’t have to do all the heavy lifting, as he has been getting significant contributions from the likes of Myles Turner, Pascal Siakam, and Aaron Nesmith.

Tyrese Haliburton and the Indiana Pacers can close out their first-round series against the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday when they head back to the Fiserv Forum.
