Found March 22, 2012 on Hoops Addict:
Since the offseason, the Indiana Pacers have been in pursuit of added scoring and depth in the backcourt. With the acquisition of veteran guard Leandro Barbosa, Indiana finally found what it was searching for. It took the Brazilian combo guard little time to adjust to the change of scenery after being traded from Toronto last Thursday. In his Pacers debut, Barbosa scored 12 points on 50 percent shooting as Indiana knocked off the Clippers 102-89 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Tuesday. “Leandro Barbosa came in and really changed the dynamic of our bench,” Indiana head coach Frank Vogel said following the win. “Our bench took over the game in the second quarter and it did the same thing in the second half.” Alongside guard George Hill and forward Tyler Hansbrough, Barbosa helped pace the Pacers’ second unit. Indiana’s bench scored 50 points, while the Clippers’ bench accounted for just 23 points. “I really enjoyed playing with Leandro,” Hill said. “We are both playmaker...

Caron Butler pokes fun at Tyler Hansbrough's "acting"

The Indiana Pacers Tyler Hansbrough has gotten a reputation as an Oscar-worthy actor when it comes to complaining about rough treatment in the NBA. Last night—  against the Los Angeles Clippers— he gave another intense performance which was mockingly caught on the imaginary camera of opponent Caron Butler. Butler made fun of the former-North Carolina star's antics by...

Jeff Foster retires

Sad news. Jeff Foster has announced his retirement from the Indiana Pacers after being unable to get over the back issues that have been plaguing him all season (and the last couple of seasons). At 35 it's a little young, but when you're done you're done, and it's good he was getting out before it got a lot worseIt's unfortunate, as when he did play, Foster was...

Loss to Pacers 'ugly' setback for Clippers

INDIANAPOLIS If the Clippers were inspired on their trip to the Hoosier state, where there is a deep appreciation for the artistry of basketball, a precisely executed backdoor cut or a defense that moves together on a string, it was hard to tell. Instead, their work was the basketball equivalent of finger painting. The Clippers clanked more free throws than they made, got little...

Pacers 85, Wizards 83

David West grabbed three offensive rebounds in the final 70 seconds, Darren Collison made a key steal of an inbounds pass, and Paul George's 3-pointer with 1:01 to play gave the Indiana Pacers their first lead of the game, completing a 22-point comeback Thursday night for an 85-83 win over the Washington Wizards. The Pacers effectively kept the ball away from the Wizards in...

Pacers Handle Clippers

INDIANAPOLIS, March 20—It was a bad day all-around for Los Angeles basketball as the Clippers also lost to the Pacers 102-89. Last night the Clippers had to have been waiting for Chris Paul to kick into high gear as he only salvaged 16 points from his repertoire. Blake Griffin was on point as usual racking a double-double to provide 23 points and 10 rebounds. The Clippers are inconsistent...
