After fully practicing Sunday Jimmy Butler experienced a setback with his bruised left knee that sidelined him for the Bulls' morning shootaround and exhibition game against the Bucks on Monday.
That's the third straight game the new starting shooting guard has missed after playing through the original injury against the Wizards in Rio de Janeiro. But for anyone worried about Butler missing the Oct. 29 regular-season opener in Miami the third-year swingman offered some reassuring words.
"There's no way I'm missing that game" Butler said.
Beyond his typical "next man up" and "more than enough to win" proclamations coach Tom Thibodeau continues to try to paint a positive portrait about the myriad injuries. Joakim Noah (groin) and Kirk Hinrich (concussion) also sat Monday.
