PLAYERS: Mike Miller
TEAMS: Miami Heat

Look at this picture. Miller looks like he’s 60 years old, he limps around the court and is constantly rubbing his legs as the offense comes down the court. It can’t just be injuries, right? When I saw the Celtics play the Heat at the end of the season, both teams were resting their starters so Miller was getting some serious burn. My seats were pretty good so besides being surprised at how tall he really was, I was completely taken aback by how pale and sickly he looked. Don’t get my wrong here, the guy can still knock down a wide open three like it’s nobody’s business, but how much longer can he keep it up? When Miller came out of Florida he was a clean cut looking kid with a little flip in the front of his hair. Now he looks like he should be front an early 90′s. I once saw him hit 22 straight three’s while warming up at half-time. Now it looks like he warms up for the night with 22 lines of Special K. Get some help, Mike Miller. And maybe think about getting some of those tatto...

Killer crossover drops LeBron James Jr.

Sure, we could go with a “Like father, like son” reference here, but I have no idea if the play in question when LeBron James, Jr. gets crossed up and dropped to the floor by an opponent’s killer crossover occurred during crunch time in the fourth quarter. (rim shot) LeBron, Jr, 7, who by all [...]

Bosh may be closer, and Heat show a need in Game 3

LeBron James has had too many nights like this, where he couldn't get enough help for long stretches of the game. It's just that most of them were back in Cleveland. With a quiet first half from Dwyane Wade and little contributions from any other starter, James' 34 points were wasted in a 101-91 loss Friday night that cut the Miami Heat's lead over the Boston Celtics...

This time, Heat can't get Celtics fouled up

Although it's part of playoff rhetoric, the constant talk about officiating appears to be wearing on Heat coach Erik Spoelstra, especially when it comes to the notion of LeBron James and Dwyane Wade being extended a favorable whistle. It finally caught up to the Heat in the 101-91 loss to the Celtics in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference final on Friday night. Wade failed to...

Could Texas teams be LeBron James’ kryptonite?

Two NBA Finals appearances for Lebron James. Two losses. What is the common thread linking both of these losses together? Both teams were from Texas.James joined the Miami Heat during the 2010-2011 season with one goal in mind and that was to win the championship that had eluded him up to that point in his career. Bosh won't play Game 4, status still 'indefinite'

BOSTON (AP) -- Miami coach Erik Spoelstra says Chris Bosh will not play for the Heat in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference finals against the Boston Celtics. Bosh will miss his ninth straight game Sunday with a lower abdominal strain. Spoelstra says that Bosh's status is "still indefinite." The Heat lost their All-Star forward in Game 1 of the second-round series against...

Dwyane Wade Hasn't Looked Like Himself Against Celtics, Which Comes as Bit of a Surprise

Dwyane Wade hasn't looked like, well, Dwyane Wade in the Eastern Conference Finals. Sure, he's produced solid numbers by anyone's standards, but when simply using the eye test, it's easy to see that LeBron James has been the focal point of Miami's offense. What makes Wade's effort in the series thus far a bit surprising -- if not alarming to Heat fans -- is...

LeBron James, Dwyane Wade Will 'Continue to Attack,' 'Force the Issue' Against Celtics (Video)

LeBron James and Dwyane Wade have made a living attacking the basket, a style of play that generally lends itself to plenty of opportunities at the charity stripe. The Celtics saw that firsthand in Games 1 and 2. But James and Wade were limited to five combined free-throw attempts during Friday's Game 3, with Wade failing to get to the line even once. Those figures are something...

QuickVid Injury Report: Bosh Out, Anthony Late Start

Chris Bosh will be out for Game 4 Sunday night, but the Celtics are all ready to go. Joel Anthony has been given the late start at center over Rony Turiaf for the Heat. “We haven’t played a 48-minute game in this series. Tonight to win, we have to play all 48.” Celtics coach Doc [...]

Enemy Chatter: The Heat suddenly miss Chris Bosh

We often wonder what opposing teams, their beat reporters and bloggers are saying about the Celtics after playing the Celtics. Here's a dose of 'enemy chatter' from Miami. On a night when the Boston Celtics were determined to hit the Heat literally where they're hurting by pounding the ball inside to Kevin Garnett, Miami had no options to counter. For the previous...

Battier says he's not paying attention to Spurs in playoffs

Once the NBA lockout ended, one player the San Antonio Spurs were rumored to be interested in was Shane Battier. Battier was also being recruited by other title worthy teams like the Oklahoma City Thunder, Miami Heat, and Boston Celtics. Battier eventually chose the Heat and today, according to Ethan Skolnick of the Palm Beach Post, Battier isn't giving any attention to the two...

Heat - Celtics Game Three Top 30 Takeaways

30) Paul Pierce's defense on LeBron James with two minutes in, where no foul was called on hard transition defense, was your first clue of the great get-even ref work29) Miami started 1 for 5 from the line, which is what we call a leading indicator28) When Greg Stiesma leads with a straight arm at home, he gets to the line27) I'm not prepared to live in a world where Mario...

Eastern Conference Finals: The Scotsman’s ‘rational rant’ on Celtics – Heat series’ officiating

*** Crawford.  Kennedy.  Willard.  Davis.  Their names strike fear in the hearts of all Celtics fans.  No they are not members of the Miami Heat (not officially anyways, pardon the pun) but they are members of the Evil Axis of Officials.  Their reputations are synonymous with ineptitude, narcissism, bias, bullying, and flat out ridiculousness [...]

Comments from the other side - Heat Game 3 6/1

Miami has such bandwagon fans.  They go from Chalmers being their 3rd best player to hating him and calling him garbage.  Wade goes from the greatest ever to having low BBIQ.  I love all the complaints about the refs.  They are so used to getting EVERY call that they can't recognize it when the refs are actually  calling it mostly even.  The foul count was even, unlike...
