Last December reports came in from CNBC’s Darren Rovell that the LA Lakers superstar, Kobe Bryant’s wife had filed for a divorce, in move which was likely to cost him 180 million dollars because they did not have a prenuptial agreement.
After proceedings came to a close at Orange County’s Superior Court of California, Venessa walked away from their 11-year marriage with 75 million dollars and three mansions, according to reports from the New York Post.
The Venessa and Kobe marriage were met with opposition right from the beginning, with Kobe’s parents refusing to accept Venessa as their daughter-in-law. In 2001 inside the California at St. Edward Roman Catholic Church, Kobe’s friends/teammates and family refused to attend the wedding. At the time Kobe was just 22 and Venessa 18. [about.com]
In the filing, Venessa Bryant cited “irreconciliable differences” as her reasons for wanting a divorce, but on Tuesday with all the love in the air, Venessa could not help but to see her ex-husband.
After the LA Laker’s game against the Atlanta Hawks in which they won 17-12 at the Staples Center on Valentine’s Day, Venessa Bryant paid Kobe a visit and they were found kissing outside the locker room.
Is this a sign that the couple are considering reconciling their differences?
