The Sports Fan Journal:
It is time to come to the defense of Dwight Howard. Throughout the 2012-13 NBA season, Dwight Howard has been called everything but a child of God. He has been ridiculed for not playing through pain by legends of the game, maligned by fans of the game and challenged by the old dog of the [...]The post It Is Impossible To Completely Hate Dwight Howard appeared first on The Sports Fan Journal.

The post Dwight Howard blames Los Angeles Lakers losses on his poor conditioning appeared first on Players View Dot Net.
The struggles of Dwight Howard and the Lakers don’t have anything to do with coaching changes, disagreements with Kobe Bryant, or injuries, but they have everything to do with candy.
According to ESPN.com, Howard revealed in an interview that his poor conditioning and inconsistent energy may have been the cause of some of the Lakers’ losses this season.
Dwight is still talking, maybe he should be on the elliptical or something. He has mentioned several times that he still isn’t in shape, I think everyone knows that by now, so no need to keep talking about it.
This time he says the fact he can’t get in shape is one of the reasons the Lakers are still under .500.
“You’ve got to have energy and I want to bring that energy every...
Some people say that Dwight Howard doesn’t take basketball seriously, and that his fun-loving nature often gets in the way of him doing his job on the court. But Howard is still pretty effective as a player, making others wonder whether his personality is a problem or just something that people (Kobe Bryant!) like to fixate on when things go wrong.
Give Bryant’s camp a point...
Los Angeles Lakers forward Metta World Peace was woken up by several police officers Tuesday morning because three actors decided to rehearse a scene for his movie at his Westside condo complex, according to the Los Angeles Times.

You know your season is going pretty bad when your coach is yelling at you during the All-Star Game.
After all, the weekend is supposed to be a time to relax and kick back a little bit. Yes, there are those required media appearances and the game itself, but that is supposed to be low stress and a good time. The perfect environment for the happy-go-lucky Dwight Howard.
Stephen A. Smith didn't name any sources, but since the topic is "Dwight Howard doing something wrong," his report is unlikely to be questioned much.
Smith said on ESPN's Mike and Mike show that Spurs coach Gregg Popovich blasted Howard during the All-Star game for not paying attention when he was drawing up plays for the Lakers center during a timeout, which...
Los Angeles Lakers center admits he was out of shape before the season, which he says has cost the team some victories. "You've got to have energy and I want to bring that energy every night," Howard said in a revealing interview
Playing in their first game since owner Jerry Buss died, the Los Angeles Lakers played like a team Wednesday night in an emotional 113-99 victory over their greatest rival, the Boston Celtics.
Dwight Howard led the team with 24 points and 12 rebounds,
After all of this afternoon's trepidation over the trade deadline, the Celtics failed to come away with any of the supposed big names: Josh Smith, Dwight Howard, Eric Bledsoe and DeAndre Jordan. But it also means that franchise cornerstones Truth and KG remain in Green. Not a bad take away from a rather nerve-wracking couple of weeks. #BleedGreen!

Tweet Unless they’re Kobe Bryant and Dwight Howard, NBA players sometimes develop bonds with their teammates. They spend a lot of time together practicing and on the road and form friendships with one another. Apparently that’s the case with the Houston Rockets, as Jeremy Lin said he didn’t feel like playing after the Rockets traded [...]
You knew that the Lakers and their fans would be emotional tonight, and that L.A. would feed off of it, but the Celtics showed little resistance. Call it “tired legs”, second night of a back-to-back, blah blah. Boston just did not play defense tonight. Period. They fall 113-99 on L.A.
As Doc told his troops at halftime, “they’re getting whatever they want..” Couldn’t...
