Storytelling is starting to become one of Jalen Rose’s new hobbies. As we all know on January 22, 2006 Kobe Bryant scored 81 points against the Toronto Raptors. Jalen Rose, who was on that Raptors team discussed that historic night and had many interesting things to say.
He also makes a couple of jokes about Smush Parker, Luke Walton and Sam Mitchell who was coaching Rose at that time. It says a lot about Rose that he can sit back and laugh about this now, but we know it still stings a little bit.
The post Jalen Rose tells us how it felt to have Kobe Bryant drop 81 points on his team first appeared on No Guts, No Glory.

Kobe weighs in on new flopping rule
It seems every player has a strong opinion about the NBA's new flopping rule and Lakers star Kobe Bryant is simply the latest one to express his opinion on it.

Storytime with Jalen Rose via Grantland, Part Two
Yes! More of this now! I demanded more when we posted the first installment which featured Vince Carter performing a well executed fireman's carry of Sam Mitchell (then, head coach of the Toronto Raptors). Well Jalen is at it again, this time detailing the time Kobe dropped 81 points on his team, the Toronto Raptors. Grantland has been killing it with these videos/cartoons...
Bryant sits out practice with foot issue
Teams that refuse to divulge injury information can be more forthcoming than Lakers Coach Mike Brown was Friday about Kobe Bryant's right foot.
Bryant sat out the Lakers' morning and evening practice sessions, a team spokesman said, because his foot was bothering him. He was listed as day to day.
Asked about Bryant's injury, Brown said, "It's one of his feet...

Thanks to Los Angeles Lakers media day back on Monday, we have the answer to the most important question of "With all the new stars with the Lakers, who's team is it?"As you might have already figured from the title of this post, Kobe isn't backing down as LA's top dog:"I got a question earlier about whose team this is," Bryant told reporters. Kobe Bryant says Lakers is his team still
As we all know, Lakers All-Star Kobe Bryant is reaching the end of his career. We no longer see the acrobatic dunks or the speed to get by defenders. After almost 17 years in the league with the Lakers, they seem to be diligently looking for a replacement and that is looking more like newly acquired Dwight Howard. According to Kobe Bryant, not so fast. In an interview by...
Lakers' Bryant sits out of practice, Howard participates
Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant is day-to-day with discomfort in his right foot. The star missed both practice sessions Friday but is not considered seriously injured. Lakers trainer Gary Vitti advised Bryant and coach Mike Brown to sit Bryant out. "My take on it is this: Gary has a job to do, he's our head trainer and I just follow his lead," Brown said...
The Lakers are still Kobe's team, and Dwight's just fine with that
I generally respect a lot of reporters. Many of them do a great job covering their respective teams. But sometimes a few of them ask lazy questions aimed at getting a reaction rather than getting information.
Because, as the success of horribly disgusting screaming matches like First Take tell us, we just loves us them wild reactions.
So with that, I bring you this. The LA...
NBA Preseason Notes -- 10/5
Kobe Hurting? Kobe Bryant sat out both of the Lakers' practices Friday because of a foot injury. Which foot? The Lakers won't tell us, which makes me think the injury is not all that serious. Bryant will suffer his share of minor injuries in 2012-13, but this is probably nothing to be too concerned about a month away from real games.

Knicks Day Video: The Night Willis Reed Fired Up The Garden
The New York Knicks franchise is full of many, and I mean many, history-making moments. From an NBA title, John Starks' dunk over the Bulls, players like Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant tearing up the scoreboard to some of the NBA's greats wearing the Knicks uniform, there is no doubt New York truly is a Mecca for basketball.
However, one moment is so undeniably unforgettable...
Kobe Says Some Of You Are Dumb, And He’s Right
“Here’s the thing: Some people are just very, very dumb. I keep hearing it from some people that I just want to score and that other stuff. Nobody has won more championships than me in my entire generation. I’ve got five of them. You can’t be selfish and win one championship, let alone five. That argument should be in the coffin by now. I don’t like having the ball....
