League source says #Knicks deal w/James Singleton is complete. #Knicks will need to cut a player to make room for Singleton.
— Ian Begley (@IanBegley) April 10, 2013
Kurt Thomas will be released to sign James Singleton. Kurt will now have foot surgery, which would have ended his season anyway. KT should be commended for starting this long winning streak with his gutty performance on an obvious damaged foot in Utah. Once a Knick always a Knick stands true for someone like KT. Good luck my friend.
James Singleton is a 6 foot 8 inch PF from Murray State that has been in an out of the league for the last 5 years. His most recent stint was in China and now he will be apart of the New York Knicks playoff run. Will he see minutes? That all depends on the health of Tyson, Kenyon and Camby, but as of this minute those 3 guys I speak of, are out. James is a decent defender who is more known for rebounding than his offensive repertoire.
