LAS VEGAS - JANUARY 07: Former NBA basketball player James Worthy (L) signs autographs at the Haier booth at the 2010 International Consumer Electronics Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center January 7, 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada. CES, the world's largest annual consumer technology tradeshow, runs through January 10 and is expected to feature 2,500 exhibitors showing off their latest products and services to about 110,000 attendees. James Worthy, who announced his new role as the Los Angeles Lakers main studio analyst on Time Warner Cable SportsNet, says, "I wasn't a fan of Dwight Howard."

Worthy says he likes players who just do their job, and didn't like how Howard handled the situation in Orlando.

"Who said this, I don't like this coach. To me, that's nonsense," Worthy said via the LA Times. "Your job is to come in and play and deal with the situation that's there."

Worthy welcomes Howard to the team, but says he wasn't happy when Howard initally resisted joining the Lakers.

"I was a little bit taken back. I think I heard him say ... if the Lakers drafted him, he wouldn't take it," Worthy said. "I knew that was gibberish."

Worthy thinks Howard will adjust and could work great alongside Kobe Bryant, but wants him to know that,  "we already have one superman in this town."

Worthy may be unsure about Howard, but he is not unsure about Steve Nash.

"I think my favorite move of the summer was professor Steve Nash," he said. "We haven't had a point guard like that since Magic Johnson."

"The key is gonna be if Kobe can defer to Steve Nash and let him run the show."

Worthy says the Lakers chances of winning a championship this season depend on how well Howard, Nash and Bryant work together.
