Mark Cuban confirmed that Jason Kidd has agreed to re-sign with the Mavs. It's a three-year deal worth $25 million and change. Maybe the Mavs are overpaying a bit, but they had to bring Kidd back. If not, the Devin Harris deal would have been a total disaster with the Nets receiving a lottery pick next year. With Kidd here, even at his advanced age, the Mavs ought to be a playoff team again. Of course, Cuban isn't satisfied with just making the playoffs. He says this is "hopefully the first of several deals to come in the next couple weeks." More to come in the morning, when my vacation is officially over.
