It seems like it’s been forever since Jason Richardson has made a memorable play within 15 feet of the rim, but last night, the Philadelphia 76ers guard turned back the clock to the early aughts with this breakaway 360 throwdown. That’s right, kiddies, there was a time when J-Rich was the heir apparent to Vinsanity, winning back-to-back Slam Dunk contests — his 2003 showdown with Desmond Mason is criminally underrated — and thus being directly responsible for no fewer than 435 Magic Johnson “the dunk contest is back!” proclamations.
Nowadays, Old Man Richardson — okay, he’s only 31, it just seems like he’s 40 — is almost strictly a jump shooter, but perhaps he got a little inspiration from 56-year-old Marques Johnson last week?

Bynum might not play until January
The arrival of Andrew Bynum in Philadelphia was expected to be so significant, it led many writers to project the Philadelphia 76ers at, or near, the top of the Eastern Conference. Andrew Bynum’s Ongoing Injury Provides Opportunity for Jrue Holiday to Emerge as Leader for Sixers
BOSTON — Doug Collins needed a leader, so he marched down his bench and grabbed the player that most closely resembled a leader for the Philadelphia 76ers. Almost forcibly, Collins inserted Jrue Holiday into the fourth quarter of last week’s game against the Celtics, who had cut a 16-point lead to four points.
With Holiday at the helm, the Sixers re-established their cushion...
