Found March 23, 2012 on Holdout Sports:
During the fourth quarter of last night's NBA game in New Orleans, Hornets forward Jason Smith found a way to stop Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin from dunking on him on a fast break: Smith body-checked Griffin to the floor like a hockey player.

Smith was given a flagrant level 2 foul by the officials, which resulted in an automatic ejection from the game. No doubt a fine and a suspension of a game or two will follow as well.

I especially like how Smith completely decks Griffin, then immediately puts his hands up as if to say "Oops!" Smith also waved his arms up and down to get the crowd going and gave a fan a high-five on the way to the locker room.

It's almost as if Smith took the speech Samuel L. Jackson gave during the player introductions a little too close to heart.

The Hornets won the game 97-90. The teams play each other again on Tuesday in Los Angeles. We'll see if any bad blood carries over to that game.

Clippers Fan Finger Blasting Herself After Beating Pistons Or Just Itching?

Remember the Pistons-Clippers game the other night when Blake Griffin blasted some woman holding nachos and a beer. To her left was backwards hat wearing dbag. Ring a bell? And here we figured that was the big highlight in that game. Wrong. One dude watched until the end when Chauncey Billups was chatting with his old friends. In the background was a woman doing something down there...

Video: Westbrook tries to dunk on Griffin, fails

The above video shows one of the saddest scenes in an NBA game I’ve seen in quite a while. Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook is one heck of an athlete, but I think he overestimated his skills on this play. On Wednesday night against the Los Angeles Clippers, Westbrook caught the ball on the right wing and attempted to go all Blake Griffin on…Blake Griffin...

Chris Paul’s mediocre return to New Orleans helps Clippers drop third straight.

NEW ORLEANS, March 23—It was a UGLY night down in New Orleans. When I say ugly I mean bowling shoe ugly. It was so ugly I wouldn’t call what happened here a basketball game, I would call it a “wrasslin” match. In his first game back since his exodus to Los Angeles, Chris Paul was expected to come through and do what LeBron James did to the Cavaliers when he showed his face...

Jason Smith Suspended Two Games By NBA For Flagrant Foul On Blake Griffin (Video)

It would appear that some NBA players have finally gotten tired of Blake Griffin's flashy dunks and celebrations. Jason Smith, a member of the New Orleans Hornets, took out some frustration on Griffin on Thursday night. As the Clippers were on a fastbreak, Smith raced to catch Griffin and body-checked him to the ground. It was obvious that the hit was illegal and totally unnecessary...

Pacers Handle Clippers

INDIANAPOLIS, March 20—It was a bad day all-around for Los Angeles basketball as the Clippers also lost to the Pacers 102-89. Last night the Clippers had to have been waiting for Chris Paul to kick into high gear as he only salvaged 16 points from his repertoire. Blake Griffin was on point as usual racking a double-double to provide 23 points and 10 rebounds. The Clippers are inconsistent...

Clippers Rebound With Home Win Against Memphis

Los Angeles -- Coming off a tough 0-3 road trip that had produced whispers of coach Vinny Del Negro's demise, the Los Angeles Clippers turned things around with a convincing 101-85 blowout win at home over the Memphis Grizzlies in front of 19,060 at Staples Center. Los Angeles was led by Blake Griffin's 20 points, 10 boards, and 5 assists.  Chris Paul also contributed...

By now you probably seen the hit New Orleans Hornets' Jason Smith gave Los Angeles Clippers' Blake Griffin last night as Griffin was running to the rim. If you haven't, check it out.
