Dallas Mavericks guard Jason Terry apparently hasn’t bought in to “Linsanity” and thinks New York Knicks guard Jeremy Lin’s success is simply a result of head coach Mike D’Antoni’s offensive system.
When asked how much Lin’s incredible success has been due to D’Antoni’s up-tempo, point guard-centric attack, Terry said, “To me, it’s 100 percent what it is.” Then he stopped himself and said, “Ninety-five percent.”
According to Adrian Wojnarowski, Terry didn’t mean it in a rude way, he was just honestly expressing his feelings on the subject. He seems to just be skeptical that Lin was really as good as the hype he has received.
Well, Terry that before Lin scored 28 points, dished out 14 assists and had five steals in New York’s 104-97 win over the Mavericks on Sunday. But even after the game, the veteran guard wasn’t moved.
