ATLANTA—Traded by the LA Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies within the span of a year, released by the Washington Wizards and Charlotte Bobcats and relegated to playing in China and the NBA D-League, Javaris Crittenton’s young career has been defined by constant rejection. Now, however, the 23-year-old guard finally feels wanted, as the Federal Bureau of Investigation is actively pursuing him for the murder of an Atlanta woman.
“It feels great,” said Crittenton on his recent status of being highly desirable. “I’ve spent my whole career being cast aside and feeling unwanted. Well, I’d like to see the look on all those teams’ faces now. Javaris Crittenton, the guy who wasn’t good enough for the Lakers or the Wizards or the Bobcats or even Zhejiang Guangsha Lions is now the apple of the FBI’s eye.”
