WASHINGTON -- The Washington Wizards fell to 0-8 for the second straight season as Al Jefferson tallied 21 points and 13 rebounds and the Utah Jazz pulled away in the fourth quarter for an 83-76 win on Saturday night. Washington, the NBA's only winless team, opened the game with a 15-2 run, but ultimately succumbed to suspect shooting and Utah's interior weapons. The loss tied the franchise record for worst start to a season. Ahead 69-67 early in the final quarter of a back-and-forth game, Derrick Favors' bank shot triggered a decisive 11-2 run for Utah (5-6) and Paul Millsap's running jumper extended the lead to 80-69 with 2:23 remaining. Held to four points at halftime, Jefferson's low-post moves dominated the third quarter as Utah's burly center knocked down 8 of 12 shots for 17 points. Utah, 1-6 on the road entering the nation's capital, held Washington to 13 points in the fourth quarter and 36.5 percent (31 of 85) overall from the field and f...

GIF by Truth About It I remember the feeling the day of the lottery, it was May 18th 2010 and the Washington Wizards won one of the biggest prizes in sports, the #1 pick in the NBA lottery. I sat in my chair with an enormous smile on my face; it was a no-brainer the Wizards were going to get John Wall. The Wizards were going to begin the process of being relevant again. The media...

WASHINGTON -- Minutes after the Wizards' latest loss, Randy Wittman moved into position before waiting reporters and a bank of cameras. The Wizards coach paused before starting his postgame comments, staring at the final box score, literally scratching his head in apparent disbelief. Matching the ignominious record for worst start in franchise history will have that effect. ...
Every morning, we will give you five things from the night before in the NBA to start your day.
1: Wizards without wins
Two weeks into the season and nearly 10 games in, the Washington Wizards are still without a win. The Wizards had a two-point lead at the half against the Jazz.
That is when Al Jefferson began to take over and turn the tide of the game. Jefferson scored 17...

Check out the halftime entertainment during the Washington Wizards vs. Charlotte Bobcats game this past week. Never seen anything like it. How is breaking a bamboo stick over your genitals entertainment? Can't explain it, but it damn sure makes me laugh every time I watch it. I guess the real question we should be asking these guys is how they heck do you even think about...
Celtics (11-3) vs. Jazz (2-15)
Friday, November 16
The pre-Jerry Sloan Jazz were no pretty sight. Coach Tom Nissalke’s team was bad right from the stretch: Utah dropped its first four games, losing the first by 16, the second by 31, and the third by another 15 points. The team would finish 2-18 in the month of October, with the only victories coming at the expense...
PHILADELPHIA - The best way to give his team a shot in the arm, Jrue Holiday figured, was simply to make a shot. Holiday nailed his first four shots Friday night, and scored 18 of his 26 points in the first half, propelling the Sixers to a 99-93 victory over the Utah Jazz. Holiday also notched six points in the last 4:11, as the Sixers (5-4) kept the Jazz at bay to end a two...
As the Utah Jazz try to remedy their season-long road struggles, a visit with the winless Washington Wizards might be just what they need.
The Jazz look to salvage a split of their four-game trip Saturday night when they visit a Wizards team trying to avoid a franchise-worst 0-8 start for the second consecutive season.

A new starting five didn't generate a quicker start, but the Utah Jazz still found a way to finish off a .500 trip.
Now, they get a chance to win their 10th straight in Salt Lake City as they face the road-weary Houston Rockets on Monday night.
Disappointed at his team's slow start in Friday's 99-93 loss at Philadelphia, Jazz coach Tyrone Corbin inserted Randy Foye...
