CHICAGO -- Milwaukee guard Brandon Jennings got caught up in a personal battle with Chicago's Nate Robinson on Wednesday. Jennings was a clear winner, though. He scored 35 points to lead the Bucks to a 104-96 victory over the Bulls at the United Center, keeping new Milwaukee coach Jim Boylan undefeated. "To me, I just felt like I can do what I want, I've got my swagger now, and I can clown around, dance, do what I want," Jennings said. "I might end up changing my hair back again. I think overall, it's just the confidence the team has. Everybody's playing with confidence. Guys are just playing free. We're not really thinking anymore, we're just hooping." Boylan improved to 2-0 since taking over for Scott Skiles on Monday. Boylan's first head coaching job in the NBA was in Chicago, where he also took over from Skiles at midseason in 2007-08. Mike Dunleavy added 16 points for the Bucks, while Monta Ellis scored 14 and Ersan Ilyaso...

Bucks' Jennings explodes in win over Bulls

Maybe all Brandon Jennings needed to snap out of a season-long funk in the second game of back-to-backs was a little good old-fashioned trash talking. Scoring 13 points in the first half, Bulls guard Nate Robinson was feeling pretty good. One of the league's best talkers, Robinson let Jennings have it. 35 points later, Jennings fueled another second half comeback at the United...

Bucks play team basketball in Boylan's debut

MILWAUKEE -- Out of habit, Brandon Jennings looked over at the Bucks' bench and almost yelled "Scott." It's hard to blame him because it's been a long 24 hours for the Milwaukee Bucks. The day started with a meeting to discuss the departure of Scott Skiles and ended with a 108-99 victory that snapped their four-game losing streak and gave Jim Boylan a win in...

Bucks have mixed reaction to Skiles' departure

MILWAUKEE -- When a coaching change hits a professional locker room, each player's reaction depends on what kind of relationship he had with the coach. The reaction to Scott Skiles' Tuesday departure as the Milwaukee Bucks' coach of four-plus seasons was no different. There was shock at the timing of the move, but opinions were mixed on what Skiles leaving will mean...

Energetic Bucks 2-0 since coaching change

ST. FRANCIS, Wis. -- Jim Boylan made it clear from the beginning that he was going to enjoy his time as head coach of the Milwaukee Bucks, however long that may be. His players seemed to have followed suit. Playing with a newfound energy and seemingly having fun on the court, Milwaukee is riding the wave of a midseason coaching change to a 2-0 record under Boylan. "I think...

Jennings gives Boylan first win as Bucks coach

MILWAUKEE -- Jim Boylan's debut as the Milwaukee Bucks head coach was memorable as his team pulled away down the stretch, snapping their season-high four-game losing streak with a 108-99 victory over Phoenix Tuesday in front of 13,014 at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. Boylan was promoted to head coach after Scott Skiles and the team came to a "mutual agreement" to...

Carlos Boozer's resurgence has the Bulls winning, in surprising fashion

Averaging nearly 15 points and 10 rebounds per game this season, Boozer has fought off inconsistency to have some monster performances to lead the Bulls without Derrick Rose To say the least, this season has been an interesting one for the Chicago Bulls and their (crazy) head coach Tom Thibodeau. Star point guard Derrick Rose, who tore his ACL last season, has not appeared...

Derrick Rose Taking Contact in Practice

Chicago Bulls superstar point guard Derrick Rose is getting closer to returning to the court following ACL surgery back in May. Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau revealed after practice Tuesday that Rose is now taking “predictable contact” and the next step for the star is regular practice. Per CSN Chicago: ”Obviously it’s knowing what’s coming and so, he’s handled...

Bulls GM Shoots Down Rip Hamilton Trade Rumors

“No, no, Rip is a big part of what we’re doing,’’ Forman said when asked about the validity of all the Hamilton talk. “I think Rip’s been really good.’’ One problem with those rumors: Coach Tom Thibodeau isn’t looking to stand in the way of management’s decisions, but there’s enough of a relationship between him and the front office that the head chef is at...

Skiles out in Milwaukee

After getting off to a 16-16 start, including losing their last four, the Milwaukee Bucks and head coach Scott Skiles have decided to part ways. The initial reports make it seem like the split is mutual, with neither side happy with the other. In fact, Skiles, according to an Adrian Wojnarowski report, “hated his team” and was looking to get out when the season was over. The...

Bucks-Bulls Preview

The Chicago Bulls were originally slated for another reunion with former coach Scott Skiles but he's once again looking for work. Instead, the Bulls will face former assistant Jim Boylan when they seek a season-high fourth straight win Wednesday night against the Milwaukee Bucks, who will try to build on the end to a four-game skid. Pistons-Bucks Preview

A coaching change might have been what the Milwaukee Bucks needed to get back on track. They should have a good chance to remain undefeated under interim coach Jim Boylan when they try for a fourth straight home victory over the Detroit Pistons on Friday night. Milwaukee (18-16) was on a season-high four-game skid when the team and coach Scott Skiles mutually decided to part ways...
