The Miami Heat are still 10 wins away from breaking the Los Angeles Lakers’ NBA record of 33 consecutive regular season victories. That means they have a long way to go, but anything is possible with the way LeBron James and company have played lately. If the Heat can erase a 27-point deficit on the road to extend their streak to 24 games, what’s another 10 victories?
Many people have been rooting against the Heat on a nightly basis, which is no surprise considering they are one of the most hated teams in sports. Lakers legend Jerry West, who was the starting point guard for the 1971-72 LA team that holds the record, is not one of those people.
“Honestly, I think they’ve got an incredible chance to do it,” West told reporters during a teleconference on Thursday, via the LA Times. “I really do. And people say to me, ‘Does it bother you?’ Absolutely not. I think it’s great for the league and I’m delighted obviously for my friend Pat Riley to be able to maybe replicate this not only as...

MIAMI -- LeBron James is on quite a roll these days. He said he even picked Florida Gulf Coast to upset Georgetown on his NCAA tournament bracket.

Visiting his former team in Cleveland on Wednesday, when a fan ran onto the court while the Heat were taking on the Cavaliers, it was probably easy for LeBron James to assume the worst. Nonetheless, the fan appeared to be a fan of King James (His shirt appeared to read “We miss you.”), security quickly subdued him, and that was that.
In many ways, it wasn’t any different than...

These dunks have captivated the NBA of late giving fans something tremendous to watch, analysts something fun to talk about, and bloggers/tweeters/social media junkies fodder for some pretty entertaining posts.
So now the only question that still remains is which one is better--DeAndre Jordan demolishing Brandon Knight or LeBron James blowing the "Jet" Jason Terry up?
It seems like Lebron James still has some hardcore support in Cleveland.
In case you missed it, a 20-year-old fan stormed the court during the game between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Miami Heat on Wednesday night, while wearing a shirt that said “We Miss You” on the front and on the back “2014 Come Back.”
The fan, who has been identified as James Blair, is obsessed...
For all of the pre-game routines that NBA players plod through, it is the post-game rewind that keep CJ Miles up at night. Following games, the Cavaliers swingman often stays awake until 4- or 5-o’clock in the morning, watching a replay of the recent game and then re-watching it in his mind, conjuring up the things he did right, but mostly criticizing himself for the things he...

Tweet There have been quiet murmurs over the past year or so about LeBron James’ impending free agency that is coming after next season. Obviously one possible destination being thrown around is James’ first stop in the NBA, Cleveland. The idea was fueled by the fan that ran onto the floor wearing a “We Miss [...]
