Minnesota Timberwolves guard J.J. Barea was ejected from Monday night's game against the Miami Heat after being called for a flagrant-2 against Miami Heat guard Ray Allen in the fourth quarter. It happened in the fourth quarter as Barea was guarding Allen while he had the ball. Allen first gave a hard bump to Barea, which wasn't called, then drove to the basket, where Barea gave Allen a hard bump with a little push to go along with it. Allen lost his balance and fell to the ground, then started to go after Barea before Dwyane Wade and other teammates stepped in. The foul on Barea was initially called a flagrant-1, then changed to a flagrant-2 after a review. Barea did not like the call, and neither did Timberwolves coach Rick Adelman, who received a technical foul as he expressed his displeasure with the officials. Miami then went on a run to close out a 97-81 win. We can understand the frustration on the part of the Timberwolves, considering Serge Ibaka only received a flagrant-1 for his karate chop to Blake Griffin's groin Sunday night. Talk about inconsistency in NBA officiating. On the way off the court, Barea called Allen some particularly nasty names. We can't repeat them here, but if you can read lips, check out the GIF below: DISCLAIMER: Holdout Sports does not condone Barea's foul language. GIF via @CJZero.
