J.J. Redick came out of his shooting slump from Game 1 & 2, where he shot a combined 1-7, Thursday night. In the Game 3 loss to the Heat, scoring 11 points on 4-7 shooting in 17 minutes. When asked if his coach’s pep talk about shooting with confidence helped some, Redick disputed a conversation ever taking place – in fact, the two haven’t spoken since the playoffs began.
According to the Journal Sentinel:
Bucks coach Jim Boylan said in his pregame remarks that he told Redick to shoot with confidence but Redick disputed that.
“Jim never talked to me,” Redick said. “He didn’t say anything to me. I haven’t spoken to him during the playoffs. I did not get that message.
