These two are never ever ever getting back together. In today’s “You probably saw this coming” story, Joakim Noah has once again called Kevin Garnett a dirty player after a hard-fought game last night in Boston. Here’s the quote from Slam Magazine online when Noah was asked about their dust-up/double technicals late in the fourth quarter:“Just trying to throw elbows,” Noah said. “Cheap shots, just trying to get you off your game. But he’s a vet, he’s been doing this a long time, but it’s all right.” Noah was asked how he held Garnett to just 5-of-16 shooting from the field. “Just playing defense,” Noah said. “Just playing sound defense, just contesting his shots. He’s a hell of a competitor. He’s always on some bulls***. Always on some bulls***.” [...]“I don’t think it will ever be cool [between us].”Aww Joey. “Ever” is such a strong word.In fairness, Noah said that he was “young” when he made his famous 2010 comments about Garnett being dirty, and that that sort of thing should “stay on the court.” Also in fairness, he said this literally right after commenting on Kevin Garnett “throwing elbows” but the situation being “all right.”Garnett didn’t talk about Noah after the game, which makes us wonder: If one player doesn’t speak to the media after the game and the other one hands out quotable soundbites like my grandma handing out Tootsie Rolls, which player is “all right?”We are going with Kevin Garnett. Joakim Noah is totally mad, bro.Follow Tom on Twitter: @Tom_NBA.

Joakim Noah and Kevin Garnett have a history against each other, and Noah had a funny response when asked about KG's trash talk.
After the game last night Joakim Noah (son of French professional tennis player Yannick Noah) was asked about playing defense against Kevin Garnett. Here's what Noah had to say:
(I was) just playing defense. Just playing sound defense, just contesting his shots. He's a helluva competitor. He's always on some bulls---. Always on some bulls---. Just trying to throw elbows...
Noah and Kevin Garnett, whom Noah once called “a dirty player,” battled throughout, drawing double technicals at one point.
“He’s a helluva competitor,” Noah said. “He’s always on some bull(crap), just trying to throw elbows, cheap shots, trying to get you off your game. He has been doing this a long time. But it’s all right.
“When we lose, I feel like he crosses...
On Friday night, after the Bulls beat the Celtics 100-99 in overtime, Joakim Noah said he didn’t want to talk too much, and especially not about Kevin Garnett, with whom Noah tangled again on Friday night and about whom Noah has had some pointed words in the past.
So on Friday, Noah did not go as far as to say that Garnett was a dirty player, as he has alleged before. Instead,...
As the Chicago Bulls fought their way back then fell off last night, Joakim Noah was not on the court. Coach Tom Thibodeau held Noah out of the game as toward the end of the Bulls loss to the Memphis Grizzlies for reasons unknown. Steve Aschburner of NBA.com points out Noah's extended absence and the cloud of mystery surrounding that absence. Noah has been one of the best...
The Detroit Pistons beat the Boston Celtics 103-88
CelticsLife Game Recap
Kevin Garnett: 16 Points, 7 Rebounds
Garnett had a decent game tonight, from the boxscore stats, but his defense was pretty bad. Detroit's frontcourt put a beating on him. But it is not entirely his fault. He has no legitimate froncourt partner to help him out when the going...
Speaking on TNT NBA Tip-off, Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal said Garnett, who received 553,222 votes, the least among the 10 starters, didn’t deserve the honor this year.
“I love Kevin Garnett, but he’s not having an All-Star year,” Barkley said. “It’s not fair to Tyson Chandler. He should be starting in the All-Star Game.”
“Tyson Chandler should be starting...
After being down 27-18 after the first quarter, the Celtics cut the deficit to 4 points at the half. The Pistons then proceeded to outscore the Celtics 29-13 in the 3rd and 22-17 in the 4th.
Kevin Garnett and Courtney Lee both scores 16 points, a game high, and Rajon Rondo flirted with a triple double, notching 8 points, 9 rebounds, and 15 assists. Box score below, highlights...
The Celtics have lost. This one really sucked. We had a lead with a few seconds left in both the fourth and in OT, yet we couldn't catch a break. Rondo played amazing: putting in 30 points, 2 rebounds, and 7 assists. Unfortunately, he fouled out mid-way through overtime. This one stings and I just want to move on, but I won't.
Tonight's underrated stat of the night...
Key turnovers and shooting woes doom Boston as they lose their 2nd game in a row at home 100-99 to the Bulls. Joakim Noah’s steal with 0.09 left in the 4th led to a Kirk Heinrich 15-footer at the 0.02 mark which tied the game at 88. KG then missed a three-pointer (even though the game was tied) at the buzzer and we were headed to OT. The Celtics could only muster 1 field goal in...
Congratulations to Rajon Rondo and Kevin Garnett for being voted in by the fans as starters. Between KG and Melo in the frontcourt and Dwyane Wade and Rondo in the back court, this may be one...

Tomorrow night at 7 p.m the Boston Celtics will take on the Chicago Bulls at the TD Garden. After the loss to New Orleans on Wednesday, Rajon Rondo and Kevin Garnett are going to try to show the world why they were voted All-Stars during the prime-time exhibition game.
The loss versus New Orleans broke the Celtics 5 game winning steak, so Doc Rivers...
NBA All-Star voting is underway, and the Celtics are finally playing like a team that has a couple of All-Stars on its roster.
Despite a hiccup on Wednesday night against the New Orleans Hornets, the C’s appear to be pulling things together, thanks in large part to their current “Big Three” of Kevin Garnett, Rajon Rondo and Paul Pierce.
While Avery Bradley‘s return to the...
