These two are never ever ever getting back together. In today’s “You probably saw this coming” story, Joakim Noah has once again called Kevin Garnett a dirty player after a hard-fought game last night in Boston. Here’s the quote from Slam Magazine online when Noah was asked about their dust-up/double technicals late in the fourth quarter:“Just trying to throw elbows,” Noah said. “Cheap shots, just trying to get you off your game. But he’s a vet, he’s been doing this a long time, but it’s all right.” Noah was asked how he held Garnett to just 5-of-16 shooting from the field. “Just playing defense,” Noah said. “Just playing sound defense, just contesting his shots. He’s a hell of a competitor. He’s always on some bulls***. Always on some bulls***.” [...]“I don’t think it will ever be cool [between us].”Aww Joey. “Ever” is such a strong word.In fairness, Noah said that he was “young” when he made his famous 2010 comments about Garnett being dirty, and that that sort of thing should “stay on the court.” Also in fairness, he said this literally right after commenting on Kevin Garnett “throwing elbows” but the situation being “all right.”Garnett didn’t talk about Noah after the game, which makes us wonder: If one player doesn’t speak to the media after the game and the other one hands out quotable soundbites like my grandma handing out Tootsie Rolls, which player is “all right?”We are going with Kevin Garnett. Joakim Noah is totally mad, bro.Follow Tom on Twitter: @Tom_NBA.
