Found April 18, 2012 on Larry Brown Sports:
Like the NFL lockout, the NBA lockout left players looking for different ways to remain in shape last summer. Some of them succeeded in finding them, but many did not. With the Wizards toting a 15-46 record with five games remaining in the season, it’s hard to point toward one particular thing that has gone wrong for them over the past few seasons. However, John Wall says a lack of preparation during the lockout could be part of it. “I didn’t think I had a disadvantage (being a young player during the lockout),” Wall told Wizards.com according to Bullets Forever. “I just think that, instead of working out more, I did more of playing in charity events and summer leagues, when I should have been working out more. That’s the only thing I think I should have done differently, but it was a great experience going to different states and venues.” Flip Saunders may have coached his way out of town in the nation’s capital, but it sounds like he was right about the teams lack of preparation...

Deron Williams feels sorry for John Wall, rips the Wizards

John Wall hasn’t really blossomed as we expected him to. His numbers this year haven’t improved at all from those of his rookie year. Call it a sophomore slump if you want, but let’s face it: The team he plays on is lousy (yet still a bit better than the team that even NBA.com says stinks). That’s certainly no excuse, but Deron Williams gets it and feels bad for the struggling...

John Wall says he played in too many off-season charity games, should've worked out more

Outside of not letting yourself get as fat as Shawn Kemp did back in the day, nobody really knew how to approach the lockout this past off-season. John Wall did so, not unlike too many other guys, by playing in just about every street ball-style charity event there was. Not to say there were any other styles of charity events of course. In doing so, however, Wall may have stunted...

John Wall thinks he played in too many charity games during lockout

If it weren’t for the Charlotte Bobcats the Washington Wizards would be the worst team in the NBA. Right now the Wizards are 30 games under 500 with a 16 and 46 record. Now, the Wizards star point guard John Wall is saying he didn’t do enough during the lockout to get ready for this season. Wall, a first overall pick from Kentucky has not progressed in his second...

Wizards 121, Bucks 112

Jordan Crawford equaled a season-high with 32 points, and John Wall had 14 points and 10 assists Wednesday night as the Washington Wizards dealt the Milwaukee Bucks a crucial 121-112 defeat in their attempt for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Milwaukee began the day 1 1/2 games behind Philadelphia for eighth place in the East, but lost a game as the Sixers won...

Richard Hamilton scored 22 points to lead the Bulls, who played without stars Derrick Rose and Luol Deng. Rose was out with a sore right foot as he missed his 24th game of the season, and Deng sat out due to sore right ribs...

Kevin Seraphin Started Strong, Guards Finished in Wizards’ Win Over Magic

Photo Via Wizofawes.com Washington D.C. – Against the Orlando Magic, the Washington Wizards  had the best center on the floor in Kevin Seraphin, who outplayed the Magic’s veteran center Glen Davis. Davis replaced All-Star center Dwight Howard, who is suffering from back spasms. Seraphin’s play was the story of the first half for the Wizards.  Midway through the fourth quarter...

Wiz-Bucks Post-Game Analysis

Well no surprise at Verizon Center the arena I’d say was pretty dead, but can we blame the excuse for being a Wednesday night? I think not. Regardless, last nights game started off somewhat slow, the vibe of the arena was a debbie downer where fans would get up off their seats being more excited about winning a free burrito than seeing wizards players win a game. Can you blame...
