ESPYS host Jon Hamm took a playful shot at Dwight Howard and his decision to leave LA for Houston during his opening monologue Wednesday night.  Hamm drew boos from the LA crowd when Howard’s name was brought up, which then turned to hysterics, even from Dwyane Wade, as he introduced Dwight Howard’s greatest moments as a Laker and then cut to a zero second clip.

Christine Vest Not Allowed to Say Dwight Howard is Father of Newborn Son (Photos)

Not to go all Broussard on you, but Dwight Howard has told Christine Vest she isn’t allowed to tell anyone it is his kid and she isn’t allowed to move to Houston with him. She will have to stay in California and raise the kid like the other 7 baby mamas, alone while Dwight parties with James Harden. Cute kid though. Jocks and Stiletto Jill found the photos on Christine’s Instagram...

Lakers' D'Antoni takes parting shot at Howard, Rockets

Dwight Howard has certainly had his share of critics following his decision to join the Houston Rockets. (OK. He had plenty before then as well.) One such critic came in the form of Howard's former coach Mike D'Antoni. Howard had been vocal in the past about how he asked the Lakers to hire Phil Jackson following the firing of Mike Brown last season instead of D'Antoni...

Little kid calls out Shaq for disrespecting Houston

A lot of civic pride gets wrapped up into these things we call NBA teams. Maybe that is why we get so emotional when players leave because it is like they are betraying the entire city. That is something Dwight Howard knows having left Orlando after eight years and Los Angeles after one tumultuous year. Yet, he is Houston's now and the city is embracing him as the conquering...

Missing on Howard led to good summer for Mavs

LAS VEGAS -- Mark Cuban isn't sweating whiffing on Dwight Howard. Not even in the desert. The NBA's most involved and quoted owner has always been the eternal optimist when it comes to the personnel dealings of the Dallas Mavericks. What else would you expect? So Cuban and his front office went to work when the Mavs finished tied for last in the Howard Sweepstakes. "...

Mavs better off without Howard?

The struggling Dallas Mavericks are better off after missing out on Dwight Howard, according to owner Mark Cuban.

Steve Nash Says Lakers Offense Better With Gasol In Post, Not Howard

Dwight Howard wanted things to be about him L.A., and in Mike D’Antoni’s fast paced, pick and roll system, that was not to be. Howard has moved on, taking his talents to Houston, and the now the Lakers need to adjust.  Lakers point guard Steve Nash is prepared to move on, and told the L.A. Times, that the “Lakers offense will be more fluid without Dwight Howard.” “I think...

Little Kid: “Shaq Don’t You Ever Disrespect Houston Again!!!” (Video)

The funny part isn’t the kid, it is the white dude in the back screaming…. “WHO GOT DWIGHT HOWARD!!!”

Will Dwight Howard actually try to learn from Hakeem Olajuwon?

The Houston Rockets announced on Monday that they are planning to bring back Hakeem Olajuwon for the first time since 2001 as a mentor for their interior players. We all know what that means — Olajuwom will be brought on board to work with Dwight Howard. On paper, the move sounds like a no-brainer for the Rockets. [...]

Mark Cuban: Mavs better off without Howard

The Dallas Mavericks will be better off in the immediate future because they missed out on Dwight Howard, allowing them to sign several other free agents, owner Mark Cuban said. "I think we've put ourselves in a spot where we're in a better spot than we were at if we got just the one max-out deal," Cuban told ESPNDallas.com during the Mavs' summer league game...

Mark Cuban Says Mavs “Better Off” Without Dwight Howard

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban sure does flip-flop his stance on certain positions. Cuban constantly gets in on the sweepstakes for the high-profile free agent of the summer, only to lose out on that player, and then claim he didn’t need him. Cuban made reference to that point last summer, when he deemed the Mavericks inability to sign Deron Williams as a good thing. Cuban is...

How about Asik in black and silver?

An interesting opportunity has arisen from Dwight Howard officially taking his talents to Houston.  Omer Asik has made his desire not to play behind Howard known via a trade request. The San Antonio Spurs should seize the moment and see if the Houston Rockets would be willing to entertain Asiks’ trade request. Now trading to an intra-divisional foe would be a misstep by Houston...

John Hamm roasts everyone in ESPY monologue

The ESPYs came and went Wednesday night. It is OK if you did not notice as they are pretty meaningless and pointless. However, it is a nice bit of entertainment and occassionally a good joke comes out of it. Mad Men actor John Hamm was this year's host and he was out throwing haymakers in his opening monologue at the NOKIA Theater in Los Angeles last night. Whether it was...
