Life is Just a Fantasy ... Basketball...:
Toronto Raptors center Jonas Valanciunas posted his third straight solid game in Tuesday's win over a depleted Denver Nuggets squad.
The rookie center made just 1-of-3 shots, but made all six of his free throw for eight points to go with eight rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 32 minutes. He started again, and doesn't appear headed back to the bench. And he's thriving in the role.
In a February 10 win over the New Orleans Hornets, Valanciunas scored 11 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and blocked two shots. Two nights before that, he double-doubled in a win over the Indiana Pacers with 14 points and 13 rebounds. He also blocked two shots.
So his two-game, double-double streak ended Tuesday, but he still produced. And he's averaging two blocks in his last three games.
Valanciunas is owned in 19 percent of Yahoo leagues. If you need a big for the rest of the way, he's a solid choice.

Needless to say, Rudy is bringing it to the court and keeping the Raptors competitive. He is...

Naturally, the two are now engaged.Fields, 24, hasn't fared as well on the court this year as he has off of it. Fields is averaging just five points...
If the Toronto Raptors got hot--and I mean really, really hot-- while some of their Eastern Conference foes got ice cold they could still make the post season. As unlikely as that may be, the fans north of the border need something to cheer about. Luckily they have that in Rudy Gay.
The forward had a clean run at the basket in this clip and was kind enough to do a little something...

The NBA dunk competition has been one of the more controversial and contested aspects of All-Star Weekend over the last five years, and for good reason. The competition has been unable to attract the marquee name players to participate, thus letting down a large deal of mainstream fans. We did a little digging and found one reason you may enjoy watching the contest a bit more...
Toronto Raptors wing DeMar DeRozan destroyed Nuggets big man Timofey Mozgov with a memory-scarring dunk. It was violent, traumatizing jam.
DeRozan went on to score a team-high 22 points in the win, with a stat stuffing line of eight rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block in 39 minutes in the win over Denver.
Rudy Gay played just 25 minutes due to foul trouble. He...
