Although Calderon is still ironing out some kinks with his work visa, and although he’s yet to play a minute with his new team, the Pistons point guard Jose Calderon will enter the starting lineup as soon as possible since he’s impressed the head coach Lawrence Frank. Frank described Calderon as a “giver” making him a great option at point guard since his instinct is to get guys involved. Despite Calderon’s public display of disappointment being let go from the Raptors, M Live reports that he is reconciled with former teammate Charlie Villanueva since being Raptors rookie’s in 2005-06. Maybe now that Calderon is a member of the Pistons, Charlie Villanueva’s biggest fan will tattoo Calderon on his other arm.
AUBURN HILLS — Charlie Villanueva was tossed in as training-camp roommate with Jose Calderon when both were Spanish-speaking rookies with the Toronto Raptors, so he was happy to establish a reunion with the point guard now that both play for the Detroit Pisto...
