After falling to Puerto Rico in the 2013 FIBA Americas tournament Saturday, the Canadian National team returned to play Sunday against Brazil. Once the final buzzer rung in Caracas, Venezuela Sunday, San Antonio Spurs guard Cory Joseph had put behind his struggling game against Puerto Rico (4 points, 3 assists, 2 turnovers) and exploded with 28 points to lead the Canadians to a 91-62 beat down of Brazil.
Along with his team-high 28 points on 8-of-10 shooting, Joseph also added 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, and did not turn the ball over once in his 33 minutes of play. Joseph did all this while holding the highly respected Marcelo Huertas of Brazil to 3 points (1-of-5 shooting) and 3 assists.
